  1. Good to see the local snowmobile clubs rallied against those guys and are offering $9 k in reward for the arrest of those idiots.
  2. Yea I knew they were wakes. I knew they wouldn't require much if any at all. Just wanted to ask. I'm still very excited about seeing the baby bass version man. Don't keep us waiting till April!
  3. Hey LBH. When you made yours, did your lures require much ballast weight?
  4. Man I was waiting for some more funds to come along but I was thinking about asking you to try a baby bass patterned 2x4. If you've got some time I may hit you up for an 8" one. I think it looks good man.
  5. Like I said...Philly is HOT!
  6. It was definitely a hard hitting game. These two teams have always played hard and there as always been a grudge back to when they were in the same division. Now to you people who said the Ravens took it to the Titans? The Ravens were +4 in turnover ratio and only won 13-10. The Titans handed it away and if they don't play better then they did yesterday against the winner of the Chargers/Steelers...they'll get taken to the woodshed.
  7. Well I'm getting ready to head to Nashville to watch the Titans take on the ugly birds. Raining here now and will be following us to Music City. Hopefully it will die down before kickoff. Looking forward to it. It should be a great game. Hopefully we can return the favor this year. The last time these two teams met in the playoffs the winner went on to win the Super Bowl. Ya'll enjoy it from the couch or recliner 8-)
  8. I'm joining the Eagles side. I am a Titans fan though. I've said this a while back, the Eagles are the hottest team right now and I predicted them to play Carolina in the championship game and then against either Pittsburgh, Titans (hopefully), or Ravens. Just need to stick with a balanced offensive game plan and I think their D can handle the rest.

I'm not real worried about a lathe. As bad as my hands cramp and the the blisters I'm getting right now, I really kind of like shaping these by hand and dremel. I'm just looking more for something to mark the center spot on both ends of the dowell I'm shaping before I actually start that process. I know they sell things for this but I like to be cheap when I can haha

I have already started shaping the tail end with 80 grit sandpaper. Once I get it how I like it I'm going to take the dremel to the baits face. We'll see how it goes. Gonna reverse the angle of the joints. Heard it gives the bait more "life". Gonna try it first hand I guess. Anybody know of any good tools or plans to make my own tool to find center on these d*mn things?

Anyone use dowell rods as a blank material? I have some 1 1/4" laying around and thought about using it to possibly make some mini slammer and rat imitators.
  12. and camo for Catt I guess ;D
  13. I almost swear I think I laughed throughout the entire movie! The fight seen in the house was hilarious! Definitely one of my top 5 movies as well. I'm picking up the dvd this afternoon.

Just read the swimbait sticky. Nevermind.

I bought some supplies today to attempt my own 4 to 6" wakebaits. Going to be attempting to copy the mini slammers and generic rats primarily and also some of my own designs. Anyway, my question is I bought a sheet of .08" thick lexan for my bill material. What tools and techniques are best for cutting this into a lip shape? Searched a little bit but didn't come up with much.
  16. Catt I love ringworms! I've only got a few left in 7". Then I opened up the front page of my new Barlows tackle catalog and they have the whole first page dedicated to ringworms. I guess I'm going to be ordering some 9" and 7" to try out. You should look at them as well...they even offer them in camo 8-)
  17. A Sammy, Spro Dawg, or Super Spook are all good baits to learn on but after you get that down you need to branch out. A Pop-R in size 65 or 70 with the right lip angle can be murder when walked. Those are my favorite topwaters. Nothing like walking it fast up to a brush pile or grass patch then killing it and just making it spit for a second
  18. Cool. Guess it can't hurt to try them out. Brent if you're reading this...9" + ringer worms in black, green pumpkin, and junebug please
  19. I think I laughed the whole movie. When the three of them were fighting in the house for like ten minutes was the hardest I've laughed probably ever. Great movie.
  20. My personal favorite was Pineapple Express
  21. I think Mangini will probably go with the Browns. Cable has made a strong pitch to stay as the coach at Oakland and I've heard he's been kissing Al Davis' @** so that may work out for him. I think we'll see Shottenheimer and probably Dungy in a box seat instead of on the field next year if at all. I don't see either being a coach next season but quite possible being GMs.
  22. With all the coaching spots and GM positions, where do you think the good coaches will be next season? Shannahan, Shottenheimer, Mangini, Dungy, etc.
  23. Anybody ever bought and used any of the bulk plastics that they sell at Barlow's Tackle? If so what do you think and how did they hold up? Just got the 09' catalog and they offer a worm I've been searching everywhere for. How are they and what are some experiences?
  24. Boondock Saints for sure
  25. Steak SHOULD be medium rare. Nothing more...sometimes less
