Sam I disagree with your rate of fall. IMO a jig without a trailer will fall faster than one with a bulky trailer with large appendages. This is based on resistance. When I am fishing jigs, I always use a trailer. I pick my trailers based on their bulk and appendages because that is how I control my rate of fall. Something like a Zoom ultravibe craw will add movement but not a lot of resistance allowing the jig to fall quicker. Something bulky with lots of appendages like a brush hog will allow your bait to drop a little slower because of the resistance created. This is just how I've gone about it and my thoughts on the process.

Wood baits do float and act differently than plastic baits. I like them for some topwaters and for crankbaits I fish through the timber. Mook I'm sure somebody will either be able to take care of it for you or be able to point you in the right direction.

Check out the Pond Boss website. They have a forum dedicated to pond and lake management with a section specifically for cover and structure. A lot of good information there that you can look through. Awesome project man. Somebody will be able to help you with this.

I mainly use handpours for this purpose. I've tried both the EWG and the regular hook gap. As for which one I prefer more, I haven't really been able to make that much of a difference. I really like the Mustad black nickel hooks. I fish mine all with skirts and use either rubber, silicone, or a combination. For trailers I use everything from whole brush hogs to rage craws and paca craws to sweet beavers and ugly otters. I pay more attention to my trailers most time than my skirts.

I'd love for us to keep winning as well. I'm kind of worried though. We still have to play through the conference again. Jax is starting to look like there normal selves again, Houston always manages to play their hardest against the Titans, and Peyton is just getting better and better. We've also got the Jets and the Steelers to play too. We really need KVB back and for Bulloch to get 100%.

Unless Florida or Alabama manage to lose a game before going to the conference championship, I can't picture the NC being played without one of the two. The Big 12 for sure is by far the most interesting thing going right now. Four teams competing for a shot at getting the title and I think that three are certainly deserving of it (I still do not believe Missouri qualifies). I'll be interested in how this thing turns out. This years NC should be the first equally matched game in the last 3-4 years.

Peyton has said in interviews that when he retires he wants to coach. I'm sure the city of Knoxville would rename the city after him in order to get him there as a coach if need be. That won't be the case though
