  1. I have used a palomar knot successfully with: 65lb P-Line Spectrex 65lb Suffix Performance 65lb Power Pro 10lb Suffix Performance A regular palomar knot will work fine with those lines. I went out this morning and took the extra time to tie a double palomar with my 10lb Power Pro and I didn't have any problems with the knot failing.
  2. Their camouflage is near perfect as well. They are amazing little creatures.
  3. I've been using 10lb braided line on a 7' M spinning rod all summer. I use this rod for fishing flukes and small topwater lures. I used Suffix all summer long. When I finally needed to respool, I bought 10lb powerpro instead, just because it is easier to purchase. However, I have been having a problem with my knots. It seems like every time I try to set the hook on a fish, the line breaks at the knot. I use a palomar knot and wet before I cinch. It's the same knot I've used with all other braids but this power pro 10lb is the only line I have had a problem with. Has anyone else had this problem? Any suggestions?
  4. Cartman and Butters were hilarious. The other storyline had HUGE potential and was still funny at parts but could've used a whole show to itself.
  5. Nice quote muddy, one of my all time favorites
  6. Sounds like somebody needs to take a psychology class...or maybe just go see a psychiatrist : better yet--the study of arthropods who needs that communications class anyway right tin
  7. The majority of the tournaments you are responsible for your own boat. However, in the rules stated on their website and in a email I received this summer, it did say that boats would be provided.
  8. That seems to be how it is going to work. I'm sure the money will be a reimbursement so you'll still have to pay upfront. Also, I think you will be able to fish the Stren series the same way. FLW is really stepping up BIG time to help us college kids out. It's good stuff.
  9. Yea I really dig the abalone finishes. I'm gonna have to work harder on my customs list now
  10. I agree on hydrodynamics or something that you can relate to your swimbaits. Something you're interested in is just as easy as something to BS through
  11. String that is an unbelievably amazing lineup there. I'm jealous. What are the first two baits that you have pictured. Those are some unique and beautiful finishes.
  12. Hey welcome aboard and from a fellow collegiate angler glad to see ya'll formed a club! As far as what to throw behind your boater, just throw what you would throw if you were boating. Or, if he's really hitting an area with a fast moving bait and not getting many strikes then try to slow down and pick the area apart. Just the same, if he's fishing an area slow, try to pick up the reaction strikes with a fast moving lure.
  13. Daiwa Peanut Storm Wiggle Wart Norman Deep Little N-this one will give you trouble but it is a fish catcher.
  14. chartreuse blue back and citrus shad for me
  15. I'll second Big M's baits. Excellent craftmanship.
  16. Also-you should read some of Poe's short stories. I like them much more than his poetry.
  17. Hook that might have been in reference to the spider joke/your avatar. Tin- don't worry. Just wait until finals week, nothing like your school's server getting overloaded the week when it's most important

Muddy I've spent the morning listening to your suggestions. That's some real good stuff. I really enjoyed Tipitina by Longhair and also Let Them Talk by Booker. I still didn't quite find exactly what I was looking for. I guess I could be more specific. I've got this sound going through my head that's slower and you know it's just built upon a lot of hurt. The stuff I found from a lot of the guys listed and from most guys I've found seem to have a faster tempo then what I am looking for.

Muddy- I am in need of your musical expertise. I love the piano and I have been looking for some good blues pianists. I like Dr. John and Memphis Slim but I haven't found the sound I'm looking for. I'm looking more something that's got a lot of soul and hurt behind it if you know what I mean. Got any suggestions?
  20. Better hope it's before TT upsets OU
  21. Big Twelve Big Smelve :
  22. 5BL- I turned it on and saw the interview with Shamrock before the event started and he looked ticked! I agree with you...for someone who has been fighting for so long, I don't think that injury could have happened in practice either.
  23. Once it's too cold to fish I duck/goose hunt. I read a few good books a year. Currently, I'm trying to master the art of perfecting the hot wing.
  24. Auburn's offense is lacking BIG. Vandy is playing very good and they won even using their backup QB. The SEC is changing. Bama's back, Vandy is winning. Getting very interesting indeed
