Favorite shaky head plastics?
I love Roboworm straight-tails in 4.5 black grape on 3/32 Picasso Shakedown heads. I have tried using 4" zoom lizards and zoom tiny flukes as well. Had some bites but wasn't impressed enough to stray away from the Roboworms.

Bass Tackle Depot
I just wanted to let everyone know about the great service I received from Bass Tackle Depot. I tried placing an order with them last Thursday on some items that Tackle Warehouse didn't stock. For some reason, there was a problem with my card information. Before I could place a call to them or my card company, I received a call from Fil at BTD ready to help and complete my order. We talked about the problem and he asked for my information again. He called me back ten minutes later to tell me that things went smooth and that my order was taken care of. Prices are on count with others and free shipping on orders over $50. Shipping may take slightly longer than TW but anytime you need something you can't find there, give the guys a try. I apologize if I crossed any lines mods.

D@*n White Sox. Knocked my Twins out of a Division Champ. Therefore, I will stand behind the other team in Chicago that doesn't tick me off. Go Cubs!

Getting Ready for a Repaint
I have done some repaints on plastic baits and I have found that 3-5 coats of MinWax Spray Polyurethane works well. I've been a little worried about the weight of a few coats of epoxy might affect the action/float of these lures.

anybody a fisheries biologist?
I actually started off in Wildlife Biology with a concentration in Fisheries Science here at the good ol University of Tennessee at Martin. They have a great wildlife program. Our student chapter of The Wildlife Society was the national chapter of the year my freshman year (06). I changed my mind but it had nothing to do with the program here.

TANK FISHING- HUGE BASS!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I think he stated from the beginning that he believed he had a mistake on the girth measurement and that he believed the fish was smaller than that. He stated that again a few posts later.

My fractured ankle makes me feel great!
LBH- I have broken most bones in my legs, tibia, fibia, two metatarsals, and my femur. My femur was by far the worst. It was so painful to sit down and use the bathroom :-[

Opening a Fishing Store
I'll second Glenn's suggestion of Business Law since he beat me to it. I think that a degree in Business Management with a minor in Marketing should give you plenty of background. Location is a very important factor and you may even have to specialize in something else to accompany fishing to maintain a profit.

Bama Rules while Georgia drools
Alabama's win over Georgia at UGA is the most impressive win that any of the top 5 teams have had this year. Oklahoma beat a #24 TCU but also Chattanooga, Cincinnati, and Washington. #3 LSU would have the next best defeating #10 Auburn at UA. They also beat Appalachian State, North Texas, and Mississippi State. No. 4 Missouri has beaten a #20 Illinois but then their other three games are South East Missouri, Nevada, and Buffalo. Texas is ranked 5th with wins over Florida Atlantic, Texas El Paso, Rice, and Arkansas. The two SEC teams ranked opponents have been much tougher and they have both been away games.

Bama Rules while Georgia drools
Big XII's schedule has been easay so far. It'll get real interesting once Ok. goes to Texas and then to Texas Tech. TCU may be a ranked team but they're not the "BCS Killers" that they have been in the past few years.

what line do you use?
I honestly can't say I've ever had a feeling where I thought I didn't get bit because the fish could see my braid. I don't fish super clear water or anything either though. Mainly, I use mono for lures I want to float. Fluoro for lures I want to sink. And braid for lures I need a quick hookset and to cut through grass.

What do you look for in a spinnerbait?
I look for a bait composed of a ball bearing swivel, a good, sharp, quality hook, a decent sized wire that will hold it's shape, and a quality rubber or silicone skirt. Once I have that, then I start looking for personal preferences. White/chartreuse/blue or plain white and plain chart. with a #4 silver willow and a #2 gold colorado.

Kentucky Lake BFL Regional
Hey buddy, I actually have been able to pattern the fish a little bit. I went two weekends ago and caught my first three fish in about and hour all over 2. The first two came off of texas rigs in and around grass in about 4ft that drops to 10 pretty quick and the third was in a spot not too far away on the outside of the grass on a spinnerbait. Most of the people I fish with have been catching their higher quality fish around the grass. Good luck and let us know how you do bud!
