  1. It talks about it in the record breaker video and also on the description on TW. It's a color he had Mann's paint up for him back in the 80's called Ol' Homer. Basically its a version of fire tiger. Chartreuse body with green tiger. I've looked for it from other companies but haven't found it. I also didn't notice it in the video, talks about it but the only color you actually see him tie on is chart/black back :-/
  2. Thanks for posting about these. I've been trying to build up an order of deep cranks for the summer and these were some I had in mind. I'm sure you're right about them rushing the lures out. They did help break the record. Elias must have had to fight them hard to keep his special color from being mass produced though. Let us know how they fish please sir
  3. Flying Dog Tire Bite-very good but expensive and hard to find. Modelo Especial Bud Light Corona
  4. Paul as far as I could tell on TWRA's list of state records they do not have different classes of state records. I'm not sure if IGFA recognizes state records like that or not. I'm sure it probably is though. Great catch! Was talking about you the other day with Michael Pruett and my cousin Andrew. You need to brag about those fish more!
  5. Looks like we've got ourselves a hometown hero!v Way to go buddy. Now that you're a poster boy how about passing that knowledge!
  6. Sam- Georgia and Florida are for sure going to be the teams to beat for sure the next few years. South Carolina is still on the rise and I suspect Alabama to be a top contender again in the next few seasons. The SEC will be at it's peak I think this year.
  7. Come see the Vols play any SEC game at Neyland...then you'll know what football really is I got your back risk kid
  8. I'd like to say the vols will give the tigers another run for their money in the title game but :-/
  9. Ryan Perrilloux didn't exactly suck. He showed great promise (this coming from a volunteer ). He had great stats for a back up and won the SEC Championship. However, off the field trouble is something that every coach should handle. It hurts the focus of the overall team, ie. Mich Vick. I wish the best of luck to him and maybe he'll clean up his act.
  10. One I saw a while back that was very good was Fracture. Ryan Gosling and Anthony Hopkins are great and the plot twist is simply amazing. If you like suspense check it out. As for Shoot Um Up, anybody that can give a woman a happy ending while killing 15+ bad guys at the same time is truly amazing. As for the rest of the movie...pretty lame.
  11. So I can swing a good deal on some falcon rods and I was wondering if anyone had any experience with the Cara Reaction series? Thanks guys.

Awesome Baits Marty! I love your patterns. Looking to get out this weekend and give your cranks another try.
  13. Like others have said- I keep varying my retrieves until the fish determine what is going to work. Some different retrieves to try are: 1) Work it fast to keep it on top or near the top. This is my favorite and works well on schooling fish. Above grass. Or anywhere when the fish are active. 2) Throw at cover/structure. Let sink on slack line and then pick up/ feel for bite. 3) Work like jerkbait. Allow to sink for a few seconds then jerk a various amount of times and then allow to die before implying more jerks. Hang on!

I used to run a nitro RC10 GT around the dirt tracks. Parts and Fuel were taking too much away from the bait monkey so I gave it up a few years ago.
  15. I have one Jap. Firebelly Newt. She stays at home while I'm off at school. Will try and get a pic up Friday or Sat.
  16. I recently bought a new trolling motor to mount on my 18 ft glass boat. I was wondering, how much wire should I buy? I want to have a sufficient amount but with the price of copper I do not want to buy a lot of extra.

My most productive colors are albino, baby bass, and bubblegum. For ponds, try the baby bass. My best color for small bodies of water

A great selection when compared to Dick's. However, the prices and the sales lack.
  19. One thing I do know for sure about the higher end cranks is consistency. They dive consistently, float consistently, ALL I've seen run true from the get go, and consistently catch fish when used in their rightful applications.
  20. I have a Cardinal 301 and I love it! It is an awesome little spinning reel. It casts like a dream, has plenty of drag, and is smooth. I would recommend it to anyone.
  21. I read on one thread, either here or in another forum, where KVD blows at least one bearing in a reel each day. Not too bad when your getting new ones but still
  22. I agree with Stringjam, there is a huge difference in customs then in mass productions. However, I do think that the cheaper cranks will still catch fish. You can look at tournaments every weekend and see them won on mass produced cranks. They each hold their niche but there is a lot more to be the deciding factor like what the fish are looking for and what you can make the lure do

My third time playing, I made it to level 10 with 54 deaths. If I die one or two times then I just open a new window and come here for a while and then go back to it later. It helps out some

This is labeled as the World's Hardest Game. Whether it is or isn't, I don't know. I do know however it is highly addictive and frustrating > http://www.addictinggames.com/theworldshardestgame.html
