  1. risk kid- It doesn't get much better then game day in Knoxville!
  2. Who cleaned up an entire New York neighborhood by killing gangsters with a pistol shooting explosive bullets, a .30 caliber machine gun held in his hands, and kills the bad guy by blowing him and the wall of his apartment away with a mortar? Charles Bronson, Death Wish 3
  3. The water level is still low but there were lots of people putting in 20ft+ glass boats in without a problem. Only able to launch one boat at a time right now though. We caught all our fish on shallow crankbaits in 4-7 ft of water. Chartreuse/Black back and Red Craw colors.
  4. I am need to replace the trolling motor on my boat and I was wondering how to measure the shaft length on the one I have now. The only method I have found requires your boat in the water and to measure from the top of the bow to the water line. Do I need to measure just the shaft of my current TM or do I measure from the bottom of the motor housing to the top part of the trolling motor?
  5. Me and a partner from the UT Martin Bass Team won the Gibson County Bass Club tournament yesterday. Partner caught a 10.12 toad to put us on top!
  6. Dave is that acrylic? It's nice work for sure man

Mozilla is currently has a version 3.0 in the works which is supposed to have a lot of things trimmed and be a lot quicker. It's a newer browser, the programmers just need a little time to trim down the script. The safety offering are much better over Explorer though.
  8. My favorite is between a good reuben and a good catfish po'boy with lettuce, mayo, and hot sauce. Theres a dock side bar and grill that serves both of these on Kentucky Lake. When I'm not fishing tournaments I go spend about an hour here for lunch.
  9. Not my idea but a great one. A friend of mine and I were once talking about how we both thought the idea of owning and operating a bar and grille would be awesome. Turns out he has a really great idea. You know how you have a different wine for a different type of cheese? He wants to have a micro-brewery/grille. The catch is a different flavor hot wing sauce to compliment every type of beer he brewed!

  11. I have both STX and S models. I love my S model and use it the same amount if not more than my STX models. Pull the trigger...you won't be disappointed.
  12. I like to tinker myself. Some things I do to different baits are: Topwater: 1) I had feathered trebles to any topwater lure that I will be using a pause with. 2) I too like to use red treble hooks on the front. 3) Whenever I buy Pop-Rs, I file the bottom lip to being flat. I also file the sides flat to give the bait an overall oval shape. When done right, this gives the lure a better spitting and walk-the-dog action. Jigs: Everything that has been said before I do pretty much the same. Cranks: 1) I change hooks on traps, some Normans, and some Bombers. Also on my Daiwa Peanuts. I like to experiment with lots of different baits. Sharpies are great tools and you should keep black and red in your bag or box if you fish hardbaits.

I have some of Marty's flat sides coming soon. I'm looking forward to putting them in the water soon. He's great to work with as well.

As far as Triton leaving, I was told that Triton was wanting BASS to force it's anglers to fish out of Tritons only on the last day of competition. The day they show on tv :
  15. I am looking to replace my worn out Johnson trolling motor on my 18 glass boat. It's an old boat and don't plan on keeping but for a few more years so I'm not looking to make a huge investment. I have the opportunity to get a new Minn Kota Edge 70 52" for cheap. Has anyone used this motor before and are there any major problems with it?

Awesome job on everything. The finish on the reel really has a nice shine to it, I can only imagine what it's like when the sun is hitting it 8-)
  17. I've used both Seige and Elite in multiple # ratings. The only backlashes or problems I've had with with either line have been for not properly adjusting the brakes or trying to make a cast directly in the wind. Both of those are laziness on my part. The G2 winding I think is awesome.
  18. Two weekends ago our club held a tournament on the Beech River Watersheds. Our winning weight was 28.8! This past weekend we held a tournament on KY Lake out of KenLake. My boat took 3rd with 15.3. Fished main channel banks that consisted of pea gravel. 1st and 2nd were won flipping bushes. Big fish of the tournament was 6.55.
  19. I've been using Rejuvenade for about 6 months now and the only thing I have to say about it is it makes getting your fish out for weigh in a little more troublesome. It's some kind of fish amphetamine or something ;D

Great looking baits Marty. Awesome work.
  21. 1. Gibson Co. 2. Lake Graham 3. Unsuspected but Cheatam Lake in Middle TN
  22. I love my 8 lb test on my Symmetre. I still get the occasional line twist but no more than other lines I have tried. I'd jump on this if anybody is looking for some fluoro

    Awesome finishes Marty...amazing job
  24. I like them as a jig trailer on smaller finesse jigs. Sometimes use them in a light pitching rig as well
  25. Thats awesome man. I really wanted to make it up there but we had a club tournament already scheduled and couldn't really move it around. How many schools in all participated?
