I do agree that they probably should have just left it at III but I still think V was good. A lot better than IV
  2. It won't help you any....

The paca with the tentacles would kill on a spot remover
  4. That will be during school but I want to try to come up for the Wednesday night supper. Will I be able to come in and register before the meal?
  5. Not quite sure what your saying they would be sued for? They can pick and choose what products they offer to different markets.
  6. If they went to a split-handle, would you loan her to me for a couple of weeks too? Na. I think I would prefer the full rear grip. And also if you had her for a couple of weeks I might not want her back Natural-if she was to inform tackle junkies anything it would probably be that you only need one combo and that it shouldn't cost more than $100 a combo haha
  7. Burley-If G Loomis promised to do that, then I would promise to bring my girlfriend to a sociable event around the likes of you
  8. If they would at least just remove the fore grip...
  9. Simmons has the Graphite Series but not the composite crankers. Thanks for looking guys.
  10. That's what I was afraid of. They got rid of the composite rods and added that monstrosity they call a handle.
  11. Did Kistler discontinue their Graphite Plus series? I was wanting to look at one of their composite crankbait rods in that lineup but can't find them anymore.
  12. I agree that what you have confidence in is going to help you catch more fish but I don't believe that a fish can see the little scale indentations on a lucky craft as it's running through even the clearest of water...
  13. I have put a lot of thought into this topic. In some situations, the paint and detail can be very important. Most of the time though I do not think it's as important to the fish as it is to the fishermen. I'll start with where I think it's necessary, swimbaits, some topwater, and some jerkbaits. Swimbaits I think particularly those that are either fished very slow or dead sticked. These presentations, especially dead sticking, I think are the ones that bass really have time to look at and notice. Since they are larger, the detail really stands out. I think it might come into play some on topwater lures and jerkbaits in ultra clear water when you are utilizing a very long pause in your cadence. Not near as much in the larger swimbaits though. Now my take on color and details in cranks, and other hardbaits. I think that the majority is to attract fishermen. Action is the most important part. For paint, I don't think the ultra real patterns matter. I want to use something that contrasts well as I think that fish can see contrast better. Most of cranks have either a white or chartreuse belly with a blue, black, brown, or green back. I think that the speed at which you retrieve and the movement of the crank doesn't allow much time for the fish to see all the little details and color. Now in clear water, lures that have reflective finishes or those like the Lucky Craft MS patterns I think work because of the different colors that shimmer from the light. Another thing mook, most of my producing lures have painted on or sticker eyes. Not very detailed but they catch more fish for me than lures with plastic or glass eyes. Sorry for the length but that's my stand.

Very nice looking color Marty! You may be hearing from me soon
  15. Awesome. I think that will work.

Just because the lures catch fish does not mean that the actual laser light isn't. I trust Ryan's word the lure catches fish but perhaps it's just because of the design of the hardbaits and has absolutely nothing to do with the light. Ryan, in your opinion, do you think that the blinking light actually attracts more bites or do you think it is just a well designed bait?
  17. I have been shaping/carving some small slammer-type wake baits. I am almost to the point of placing my joints. The system I have originally decided on was to cut a v notch into the bait. On one side I will be using a cotter pin epoxied into the bait. On the other side I planned to first cut a small notch into the bait. Then drill a small pilot hole from top to bottom. I then planned to take a small finishing nail and drive it through the pilot hole, then through the cotter pin and back into the bottom of the bait half. After thinking about that further, I now have a question with my top coat. I had planned to top coat each half before this process but now that will be impossible unless I drill the holes afterwards :-[ I plan on this method to bring the joints fairly close. Is there anyway I can do this with the method I have planned out or should I consider a new joint method? PS- I hope you understand my explanation of my joint system and problem. If not I'll try to illustrate later.
  18. House is on of the best tv shows on now. Burn Notice is good too. Looking forward to this season.
  19. I saw one in the wild about 4 years ago. Was staying with the family at Panama City and we were waiting for breakfast to finish when we see a lot of commotion out on the beach. A sheriff's jeep was driving down the sand and a sheriff was out walking keeping people away from the water. Went to look and saw a large shadow. First thought was it was a shark. Then as it gets out in front of the room can tell that it's a large manatee. Awesome pictures by the way
  20. I think bass do learn and over time shy away from certain lures and or techniques. I think the big thing your missing Catt is that fish continue to be caught and will be because there is an unlimited combination of factors that change the way a fish will see these lures. The clarity of the water plus the 12 different color selections of one worm could give you multiple visuals to a fish. Then, to add to that, the angler may twitch, drag, hop, swim, dead stick, or any combination of those techniques plus things he doesn't even mean to do could add to those variations of the same lure that the fish is seeing. Then add to the fact that it will look different coming through thick grass than it would being dropped under a dock or beside a log. You can go on and on with the possible "ways" a lure can be viewed by a bass. I think they do learn but to expect them to see all presentations and colors and recognize danger with each one in their lifetime is crazy. That is why I think that fish learn but there will always be a chance for the same fish to be caught.

I'll revitalize this now that I have better questions haha. I've finished the shaping of my knockoff mini slammer and now it's time to start on the joint and the lip. A couple of questions. 1) Any guidelines for lip size/dimensions? Lure is 4" and about 1 1/4" in diameter. 2) About how far back from the nose should I place the lip? Since I'm shaping all of these by hand with sandpaper I'd really like to try and eliminate the guesswork. Any help would be greatly appreciated

You can also send a text message to google. 46645. Type in the name and location of what you want and you get a reply in less than 10 seconds if they have it.
  24. atx-I clearly said the second person in my post. I knew about Archie Griffin. And like mentioned earlier I don't think Tebow's game is NFL like and I'm not real sure that's what he wants to do anyway.
  25. Perhaps he wants to be only the second person EVER to win two heisman trophys :-/
