I'm wondering that as well. I guess one would have to click 'go to page anyway,' to find out.

Just got the notification again in the banning lead thread. Same exact one that Burley posted and I've been getting.
  4. Wow, didn't realize the draft was tonight. This sucks

My scans all came back clean but the page Burley posted is what I keep getting.

I keep getting redirected to the warning page on threads from various subforums on the page. I'm rerunning malwarebytes as well as my antivirus software.

I run Google Chrome as well and it prevented me from going. I use Malware Bytes and it is up to date and says my comp is clean.

When attempting to view some threads on this site, my browser keeps warning me that the page has data from cswu.cz that may contain malware. Anybody else experiencing anything like this? [edit]Deactivated link, as it is a maleware site[/edit]
  9. I don't see anyone playing in leagues for bragging rights taking you up on that. It would require someone who had several teams that all were playing for payouts for it to be needed I believe. I wouldn't bank on a career of it. Neat idea though.
  10. You should be able to find those two lipped baits as well as a few models of lipless baits in 1/4 oz. size all for less than $5. All proven fish catchers as well. The Bandit 100, Spro Little John, Rapala DT4, and the RC 1.5 all dive around 4' so I would not recommend them in this situation.
  11. With only a foot or so of water above the grass, I would look at lipped baits like the Bandit Footloose and the Mann's 1-. 1/4 ounce lipless baits worked over the grass would work well also.

If your looking for custom, handmade baits then I feel Big M is one of the best. You can check out the tackle making section here on BR to get a look at some other members who build and paint baits. Some good looking stuff. I haven't fished any of the Mimic lures but I have heard lots of good things about them. I know for a while you could get them on ebay for $5 a bait! That's a steal for a handmade bait. I don't know much about the catching concepts baits.

Go to the dollar store and buy a rubber spider. He'll quit talking trash ;D
  15. My 4 book estimate was aroudn $650 for used books at my campus bookstore. I want to see a Cribs episode for textbook publishers.
  16. I don't know what to think about these yet. I've read the TT article but it just doesn't give enough details. It sounds like it's the same as the Max series just with a purple theme and an added $30. I like my Powell. I don't understand this business decision though.
  17. Nice looking baits! Are those your creations or someone elses?
  18. I saved over $400 on the quote for USED textbooks from my UTM's bookstore. I'm pretty happy.
  19. Thanks for the links guys. I'm planning on ordering some Gudebrod size A nylon thread and a small package of rod finish as well as my guide. Am I missing anything?
  20. Tin nailed it. He definitely knows how to locate fish and how to make them bite. I think the thing that keeps Aaron Martens and Skeet from having more AOY trophies though lies between their ears. I don't know how light of line Skeet was flipping with at that last tournament but the way he set the hook you would think he was flipping with 6lb.
  21. I have an older Team Daiwa S 6'6" glass rod that has a guide that broke at its foot. It's just been sitting on my rod rack for about a year. I've finally decided that I want to strip what's left of that guide off and wrap a new one so the rod will be functional again. I'm not looking to make it look factory, I just want a functional rod. I don't really know how to get going though and all I can find on rod repair is tip replacement or for a rod that broke in half. What I know is that the rod uses Fuji Aluminum Oxide guides and I believe the one I broke is a size 8. I think Gander Mountain sales rod guides so I'll look there. As far as what size thread and epoxy to use I have no clue. I know that I can make a rod holder out of a cardboard box and that I can use a phone book to keep tension on the thread. Everything else I'm lost. I'd still like to do this on my own. Thanks.
  22. I really like the Powell 684CB.
  23. Nice! Stuff, bake and give me directions to dinner I have done some re-paints with spray cans. It's really hard to control your spray flow but you can make some decent looking baits. I use sharpies for my detail work.
  24. I have had some really good luck with the San Diego Jam Knot as well after having a few problems with the Palomar. It's a pretty easy knot to tie and I have found to have as good or better strength than the Palomar knot. There isn't as much friction on the line which I also like.
  25. The only products I have are the Cavitron buzzbaits. I have a 1/4 oz and a 3/8 oz model. They have barely seen any action because of the lack of distance I can achieve casting them. I like the distance I can get with buzz frogs and/or Sammy type baits compared to the cavitrons so I often fish those instead. I think offering a 1/2 oz model Cavitron would change that. The head design of your jigs has kept me away from them. I like a sleek jig head as I'm often hitting my targets pretty fast and not allowing my jig to soak very long, therefor no need for the stand up feature.
