  1. What does PWNED mean? Owned. It's dumb, trust me. ;D
  2. Great fish Randall. That herring is tearing up this year.
  3. Wacky rigged Zoom Finesse worm = money. Just keep walking around the bank, throwing in front of you. You'll keep catching fish until you are out of worms.
  4. I use the TT as well. I like the tungsten head on them, great feel. I tend to drag the jighead in addition to "shaking" it. I like to had the added feel of the tungsten.
  5. Micro, you can't go wrong with the Okumas. http://www.***.com/Okuma_Guide_Series_Big_Bait_Casting_Rods/descpage-OGSBBR.html I have the 7'6" H and the 7'11" XH. The 7'6" throws the Mattlures Hardgill and baits of that size perfectly. I have thrown a Hudd with it, but the rod starts to get overpowered at the top of its weight rating (5oz).
  6. Whether I'm impressed or not is of no value, it's whether the fish is impressed. I do not use any scent to try and bolster size or numbers and I'm assuming they work. To me it's like an athlete using performance enhancing drugs. There is enough technology out there already for me, better rods and reels, better lines, hooks, better and more realistic looking lures, fish finders and underwater cameras..........how much of an edge does one need? As many as I can get. I like to catch fish, period. PED's? You really went there? ;D
  7. I don't use the Cavitron because I can't get it in a 1/2 oz version and I also can't get one with a clacker on it. Personally, I prefer both those characteristics in a buzzbait. I have used the Shake E2 jigs with some success, but I find Tru Tungsten jigheads smaller and less obtrusive to fish. The less unnatural feeling things a fish feels, the better. I am partial to Booyah Baby boo jigs based solely on their head design. I feel it comes through "things" better. There ya go. Wayne
  8. I use Megastrike with different applications for different reasons. 1. On swimbaits, especially the large soft plastic baits, it helps the bait slide through grass as well as out of the fish's mouth on a hookset. 2. On jigs and slow moving baits, I feel the addition of Megastrike gives the fish something natural to "taste" when they pick it up. I put it on ALL my jig trailers and Tx rigged worms. 3. The biggest help that Megastrike gives ME is confidence that I am doing another thing right. If you do enough things right, success will follow. Anyone who has ever fished with me will tell you that Megastrike has a permanent spot in my boat. There is always one bottle on the deck somewhere and at least two more in the front pouch of the tackle bag. Between Megastrike and JJ's (when I need some color, too) I don't use any other scent products. Wayne
  9. those things are tanks !!! i would never use one of those things , they weigh over 10 ounces !!!!! OMG!! 10oz!!! OMG!! The 100b Calcutta weighs .5oz more than a winch. I like both Shimano and Abu, but you take Abu fandom to Dodgeguy/Fireline levels sometimes. :
  10. or... :-X Congrats on a difficult endeavor. What part did you (pj) have in getting the sponsorship? What have you done? Here is a question: What is your approach to getting a shop to carry XYZ products?
  11. Great review and I agree 100%. Pinnacle is going to be making some loyal fans with these rods.
  12. PA, MD and KY this year. Here is a thought about the "national license" debate: Start another thread. That is about as bad a hijack as I have ever seen... :
  13. I like it. ALOT!!! PMed you a question...
  14. You guys that are breaking CXX on a cast or hookset must be super human or doing something completely wrong. I throw 2 - 10 oz baits on the stuff and have never had a problem. I set the hook HARD on Hudds and other below surface baits and have not had issues. I've had nothing but good experiences with the CXX.
  15. Wanted for impersonating a wildlife mascot (not very well, may I add). ;D
  16. Lauren (my wife) wanted me to throw this one up for her. Anyone mind if she participates? Her pics will be much less fishing centered. ;D
  17. How is the quality of these baits? I dont want to buy the best, but I also dont want to waste money on a poor quality bait? Also, can anyone give any input on the Tru-Tungsten Matt & Ish Tru-Life Swimbaits? I had good luck with the TT 5" this year. My first choice for a hard bluegill is always a Mattlures. When a smaller profile BG bait is needed, the TT gets the nod. I will warn you, the TT bait gets chipped easily. I have touched mine up with a black sharpie on the bluegill pattern. If at all possible, save your nickels and buy a Mattlures Hardgill before next spring. You will not regret it. If you get it and don't like it, someone will buy it in the flea market. Promise.
  18. That one is a Nikon D40, 18-55mm Nikkor lense. Wife won't let me take the D5000 out. It shoots HD 720p video which would be REAL nice.
  19. Welcome. Where exactly is Longswamp? Figured I would have heard about somewhere with a name like that. ;D
  20. Any opinions on this reel? Never hear a bunch about it, mostly about reels on either side of it's price point (Symetre and Stradic). Let's hear 'em.
  21. That is because you have learned to use your thumb on a baitcaster. Limp braid for me, all the way.
  22. Big Ika Slimmer body profile https://store.baits.com/product.php?productid=43&cat=23&page=1
