LOL, young 'un you don't know the first thing about Sheetz. You're in the new territory. I have eaten at Sheetz #1. ;D

Yep, it comes that way. Ito is a pretty distinguished designer. If I am not confusing him with another, he also does (or did) work for Megabass on some of their cooler looking baits. I have an Ito Pop Max that is just sick looking.

Review: Pinnacle Swimbait Rod 7'11"
I thought you might like the shirt. I have family in Knoxville and cousins that went to Tennessee. It's a safe bet that I get a t-shirt when they see me. They get a kick out of a PSU grad wearing a UT shirt. ;D

Xpeditor vs. Warranty
Change it? Sure, I get that. Do away with it? Sure looks like the ol' "bait and switch" to my untrained eye. But can't you walk into a Shimano dealer and trade over the counter?

Where is all the Pfleuger and Quantum??
I have a Pflueger president spinning reel and it has worked for me just fine. I bought it from Senko77 a while back and it is still catching fish. As for Muddy, he is still around. I just spoke to him the other day. He is doing his own thing and is perfectly content.

Revo better than the Curado?
If that makes a difference to you, put an extra scoop of wheaties in your morning breakfast. ;D

Xpeditor vs. Warranty
Whoa nelly.... How can a product be sold with that "service" as a selling point and now that the product is no more, the "service" goes out the window as well? What happened to the "upgrade" if you model was no longer in production? That is a new one that should ruffle some feathers. I handn't heard that stipulation before. Hypothetically, what is to stop Loomis/Shimano from changing a couple call letters, say MBR changing to HBR (making that up, of course), and saying, "Sorry Charlie, that rod is no longer in production."

Review: Pinnacle Swimbait Rod 7'11"
It is definitely heavier than the Loomis, but I'm not exactly petite either. A couple ounces either way does not bother me. The butt section is wider, like a traditional flipping stick. It balanced well with the STX and I really like the feel of the ACS reel seat.

Review: Pinnacle Swimbait Rod 7'11"
I won my rod in the last give away. Before receiving my rod, I had the opportunity to handle the Carolina Rig stick won by BadKarma42. Needless to say, I was very excited to get mine in the mail. I got the rod on a Thursday and immediately hit the lake. In the time I've had the rod, it has been used on 5 trips. The rest of this review will be notes from my experiences. I threw jigs, frogs and swimbaits on the rod. -This is a big stick, considerably larger than the C-rig rod. -It is rated as a Fast taper and it is definitely fast to x-fast. -Fit and finish on the rod is impeccable. Very nice accents on the guides and I love the look of the winding checks on the blank. Blank color is a deep blue in the sunlight. -The rod is very sensitive. IN MY HANDS (so no panties in a bunch), the rod felt as sensitive as my BCR 854 GLX while pitching a jig. No joke. -For jigs and frogs, I found the rod to be perfect. Pitches were accurate and distance was great. -I found it less favorable for throwing swimbaits as I prefer a little slower rod for loading up and launching baits. The accuracy on shorter casts was still nice. -Fighting fish is not an issue. This thing is a beast. -The telescoping portion of the rod felt very secure and locked in place nicely. I paired the rod with a Revo STX/braid and a Curado 301d/P-Line CXX for the testing. The rod handled both reels and lines without a problem. Overall, I really like the rod. I can see it used for flipping and pitching more than swimbaits in my boat. It is a fine stick and for the price point, it will be MORE than competitive once people start using them. Will I buy more? Yes, based on the sensitivity alone. Thank you for allowing me the opportunity to try the rod. Good luck with your endeavor. Wayne PS: I will be waiting to see a large capacity reel from Pinnacle.

Spiral wrap baitcaster
I believe you can get the new Kistler in a spiral wrap as well.

Spiral wrap baitcaster
Custom builders. I have two and I love them both. One is built on a Shikari 6'8" MH blank. Great little pitching rod for lighter jigs. The other is an 8' Loomis Back Bounce rod that I use for small to medium swimbaits. Both sick, both crafted by Alpster.

Alternative to G Loomis products

Need a Decent Swimbait Rod
Not true at all. I have had the 7'6" Carrot for three years and have not had a problem. The equipment gets used, not abused. This rod is still working just fine.
