  1. Dude. U call that punishment lol. Im starting frosh football these year, and some inelligible kids skrewed around. He made us run a lap and he decided wed just pace ourselves so he made us get in our 3.0 stances and hold it and then wed have to sprint 10 yards and when we got to the 10 yard mark we had to drop and turn around right away and get back in the 3.0 stances and repeat over and over. If one kid was too slow or took too long to get back in the stance, that time didnt count. We had to do 10 of those, but so many kids skrewed up we ended up doing around 20. And after that he made us sprint 100 yards, run backwards 100 yards, and then bearcrawl 100 yards on the hot turf. And one kid took too much rest on his bearcrawls so we had to sprint 100 yards, runbackwards 100 yards, and bear crawl 100 yards AGAIN. And thats at 85 degrees with no pads on and that waas HORRIBLE. And this is freshman ball too. We ran a mile before that too which isnt very bad but it didnt help That exercise is a "suicide" around here. Ah, I remember them well. ;D Some of our other memorable running exercises: Corners: Entire team split up in the four corners of the practice field. You are grouped with your positions (linemen, backs, receivers, etc.). 1/2 of you do pushups while the other 1/2 of you take a lap around the field. Switch and repeat. Next would be situps, squat-thrusts, etc. This is AFTER practice as a conditioning exercise. So much fun I can almost smell the puke. ;D Lines: Entire team lines up across the back of the endzone. You basically run up the sideline 5 yards, turn back across the field, run up 5 yards on the opposite sideline and then back across. You do this for the entire 100 yard field. Again, I can taste the vomit. ;D Greyhounds: Again, grouped with your positions. You all stand on one sideline, facing the other side of the field. Each position gets a certain amount of time (never enough) to SPRINT across the field, touch the opposite sideline and SPRINT back to the other side. If one person doesn't make it in time, that one doesn't count. I can remember one glorious day where we were on the field until after dark due to people not making the cut. Moral of the story: Suck it up. Losers always whine about their best. Winners go home and screw the prom queen.
  2. I'll split it with ya. You give them the area code and the first three numbers, I'll give 'em the last 4. ;D
  3. I'll be in touch. I was actually thinking of coming down on Saturday evening, but got an offer to work a gun drawing for Gander Mountain (my part-time job). Maybe Sunday, not sure yet. Did I hear you say "musky?" That got me listening.
  4. Sure sounds like Burley to me. Tell them I have his phone number. It costs $20,000.
  5. I'll shoot you a message sometime when I am heading down there. None of my PA fishing buddies have a MD license, so I will have an opening on my boat. I think you and Basser89 are the closest to me. Maybe we could get something worked out. As far as the tournaments go, maybe I could help you during one of the off weeks. I have a Humminbird Side Imaging unit on the boat that might help you find some stuff you may not know was there.
  6. Congrats man!! BTW, props on the "other" reference. ;D Nicely played.
  7. Thank you so much !!!!!!!!!!! Snarky or not? :-?
  8. I can't say I disagree with you on those two situations and I understand why you would have issues with how it was handled. For the record, I just had to look up the definition of "snarky," and I was incorrectly defining the word. I didn't realize that it meant "sarcastic." I agree with you that there is quite a bit of sarcasm that is thrown around on here. However... I now find this thread thoroughly ironic, given the original poster. Didn't really want to single a person out, but I feel it is valid at this point due to them starting this discussion. I feel that if it is going to be pointed out as a problem for others, sometimes the mirror needs to be turned around.
  9. I can't say I would interpret those two examples any differently than you did. Maybe I would. I dont know. In those instances, did you report it as offensive? There are procedures in place that a person could take if they found something objectionable. That is why they are there. If you re-read my previous post you will see that I said "personal attacks aside." I would consider being called "*****" or "un-american" as falling under that category and one of the moderators would then become involved. Maybe I am not reading the same stuff you are, but I just don't see where there is all the "mean" and "snarky" things people are talking about.
  10. See what occurs when you allow others to guess the facts of your situation? First "mistake" would be doing whatever it is you did. Second "mistake" would be asking 25000 strangers for advice. Third "mistake" would be getting defensive when those strangers assume the worst about you due to your own lack of disclosure. Good lesson for you going forward and GROWING UP.
  11. Come to the next trip. I'll have a beer waiting for you and a smile on my face. Promise. Obviously, I can only speak for myself but I'm sure I can be a little more cognizant of what I type and how someone may interpret my words. Just be warned...that it is part of my nature to poke fun at people. I still stand by my assertion that most meaning is lost when reading statements on here. IMO, personal attacks and obviously objectionable material aside, people should have a little less sensitivity to what they read.
  12. I found that odd as well...
  13. How much is this one going to be? Is it the one mentioned earlier this year for around $500?
  14. Everyone is always welcome to the Road trips. They post the trip well in advance so that everyone is able to attend. Everyone I hang out with from this board, I originally met on a road trip. Obviously, making friends in person takes a different skill set than making friends on the internet. Hell, I think BassHunter69 has like 2500 friends on Facebook. ;D
  15. Who will be bringing us pics this year? Can't wait to see some of the new stuff.
  16. I agree that it is wise to use tact in your interactions with anyone, even on a forum such as this. That being said, if your feelings get hurt from something that is said on an internet board, then maybe you need to take a couple steps back and re-evaluate your priorities. Seriously. They are words. WORDS. ;D I have made some friends on here. Quite a few of us BS on the phone and have gone on vacation together. People on the road trips can tell you that the "chop busting" that happens on here is NOTHING compared to what happens in person. As was said in this thread and countless times before, the meaning of someone's statement is often lost through typing and even more often it is interpreted as a personal attack. You say "If you don't have something nice to say, don't say it." I say if you read something you find offensive, don't assume the worst about the person's meaning. Find out for sure. Off soap box.
  17. I know you fish from the bank, so that is understandable. While on a boat, a good plug knocker will pay for itself the first time out.
  18. I thought that camo pattern looked a little different than the R25, but that may be just from me looking at it on the computer. The R25 we have at work has more of a lighter green; that scope looks darker. Some people are sticklers for having stuff match exactly. That is a bad arse scope and worth every penny.
  19. If you haven't seen one yet, check out the Nikon Coyote Special w/ the Predator BDC reticle. Doesnt come in the Mossy Oak, so it might not match up too well, but is a SWEET scope.
  20. I bet you Fluke says the same thing. I think they would hold hands if they fished together. ;D
  21. Got any interest in a Trijicon Tri Power optic for the top of it when you are not hunting? Let me know, I'll make you a deal. That R25 is supposed to be a nice shooter. I have shot the R15 and was pleasantly surprised. Since "retail" differs quite a bit, do you mind if I ask what you paid for it?
  22. Let us know how it went. Just as a precaution, I have already dialed 9-1. If we don't hear from you in a day or so, I will dial the other 1. You're welcome. ;D
  23. I've got a few swimbaits that might change your mind. Realism on lures that are worked below the surface can't hurt IMO. I agree with the topwater assessment for the most part. I do love a good looking lure though. ;D
  24. Absolutely yes. Mattlures baits are in the top three of all my confidence baits, specifically the Hardgill.
  25. Stop beating around the bush and just say what you did (in an appropriate way, obviously). Trust me, leaving people to guess what it is you did will be much worse than just saying it.
