  1. Nice fish. New name?
  2. Oh trust me, he hates it too. ;D
  3. If I was anywhere near that stuff in the pic you posted, I would have my flippin' stick, braid and a 10" Rage Tail Thumper worm pegged with a 1/4oz Tungsten weight. Forget about the ones you see and target the ones that you cant.
  4. I dont know the specific area, but the trout opener in Bucks is this Saturday. All the lakes and streams that are stocked with trout are closed until 8am Saturday morning. Good luck.
  5. in my experience , baby bass stay in close to banks and in and around cover . i wold cast it out parallel to the bank and twitch it around cover with a slow retrieve . also if you can get it out over the tops of grass by the banks would be good for big fish to ambush from below . what sink rate did you get ??? Like Soccplayer said, the point is to get the bait where baby bass are not supposed to venture. This makes it appear confused, injured, vulnerable....all the things that make big bass lick their chops.
  6. My lack of response to the thread should be a good indicator of what I think of that place. ;D That was brutal. The fact that it didnt get above freezing until about 11am didnt help matters either. I honestly do not know how those guys consistently catch fish up there. No clue. We fished fast, we fished slow, we fished deep and shallow. Nothing. That place blows.
  7. I win. Oh, and the first of the month is next week. I'm good for now. LOL
  8. Um, yeah. Good one. Come back with something that defines your word as "purse." Tell ya what, you and your purse of mushrooms have fun buddy.
  9. Which one? Round? No, you've got that one covered. Your mom. ;D
  10. Would you prefer poke? No thank you. I like women. :-*
  11. Just reminds me of a jointed trap. It will catch fish, but I feel those fish are not the ones you will be looking for as "swimbait" fish. If you have not held one in your hands, I think you might be in for a surprise when you see how big (small) it really is. The 5" baits are more along the lines of a decent sized baitfish.
  12. The only one I have is the 854GLX Jig and Worm, but I feel that it is versatile for some heavier baits. Currently in PA, the waters are cold. On the last couple of trips, I have been using a 1oz jigging spoon on this rod. You can feel it wobble on the up-pull and flutter on the fall. Daddy like...
  13. And I'm looking forward to a sack full on my porch. Yeah, I'm sure you would like a full sack on your chin porch. Seriously, why do you make it so easy? ;D And BTW, who uses a "sack" to collect anything in 2010? Who are you, Tom Sawyer? You've been listening to AJ too much...
  14. So, from what I gather... RW = KVD? Glad to see you had fun. My eyes hurt. ;D
  15. The only deception I can gather from that pic is that you tell yourself the 'stache looks good...
  16. I like the two line ties on the front. That is pretty trick.
  17. Before he died or now that he has been in the ground for a while? ;D Robby, I know that is how it is in PA. Needs to be water open to everyone. World records are a different story, I believe. They may come from any waters as far as I know.
  18. Nice looking bait, but may I suggest something? Part of the allure of the Slammer is the "clacking" noise it makes on the twitch and straight swimming. This seems to be accomplished with larger screw eyes (more space for movement) and cutting a V-notch in the segments as opposed to a straight cut. Just something to try for next time maybe.
  19. Perhaps another hobby? :-? Do you like golf?
  20. Deb, dont worry... I found all that weight he lost. I'll bring it to Kentucky with me. ;D
  21. Well you will figure out how to save the world from the impact of an asteroid. You obviously haven't taken enough calculus to know that only Bruce Willis can accomplish such a feat. You forgot about Chuck Norris. Don't let it happen again. There is no use telling them Tony. They are already dead from their mistake....Let this be a warning to those that remain. ;D
  22. All I can say is what works for me may not work for you, and vice versa. I like to get my "points" and I have not carried a credit card debt past the initial month, ever. That's what makes the world go 'round. I have seen people mention Ramsey before. I would like to see one of his seminars or peruse one of his books to help make sense of it all. I'm not opposed to change either.
  23. You're comparing apples to oranges. There is quite a difference between buying some fishing reels and the roof over your head. There are very few people that can pay cash for a home (trailer or otherwise). Credit is not a bad thing as long as you know how to control it. A credit card, used properly, can benefit you in many ways including boosting your credit score.
