My buddies and I have a neat trick. You can use the connectors that come in the pack. I take a little hook and put it through the rubber connector then I put the glow stick in and I pull some line down from my 2nd or 3rd eye up and hang the hook on it. The glow sticks work great, because they show the subtle bites. Well, if the fish are not biting you could always just tie some line to the sticks, swing them around and have yourself a good ol' fashioned RAVE right there on the bank... Yee haww. ;D

I was looking at the live blog from the Classic and see a story from db (Don Barone). Met him briefly at the Road Trip last year and he seemed like a nice enough fellow, if not a little eccentric. I started to read this story and honestly didnt see what it had to do with anything. By the time I got to the end, I had a tear in each eye. This guy can really write. New Castaics are Reaction Strike from what I understand... Don't forget to stay away from Reaction Strike. Not particularly fond of anything from River2Sea either, as far as swimbaits go. The Kong/Bossymarck has a different motion to it, but the bait is FAR from durable. Mine shed plastic and paint on a cast, no contact with any rocks or limbs.

Awesome!!! I will share a "got beat up" story. Actually, it has happened twice. ;D The first one, I was completely enjoying myself when one of my "friends" decides that it is time to fight. For some unknown reason, he decides to go after a guy that is obviously the most scary individual in the bar. As this scary individual is standing over my buddy, beating him senseless, I walked over to help my friend off the floor. Apparently, the other guy had friends near the area that thought I was trying to jump in. Three quick punches later, I realized that I was in the wrong place at the wrong time. I still get a chuckle when I think about that night. The second time, I was bouncing at a bar in Altoona named "The Gingerbread Man." This was the type of place that people came to do two things: drink and fight. One night, a pretty good sized fight broke out in the parking lot. I was content to let the police eventually handle it, but the manager wanted me and the other bouncer to go out and break people up. Fair enough (so I thought). The first couple of skirmishes were easy enough in that when you pulled the people apart, they went their separate ways. At some point, my partner and I were separating two guys and the next thing I know I am getting hit repeatedly in the back/ribs/kidney area. BTW, that chit hurts. After the fights were all through and the cops made their arrests, it was time to go home. I woke up the next day to some blood in my morning pee. FREAKING AWESOME!!! Luckily, it went away and I have peed happily every morning since. Everyone that has ever been in a fight has gotten beaten up at least once. I dont care if you have platinum gloves and are a 300th degree black belt in Who Flung Poo.

Someone get me on the Potomac this year and we can throw swimbaits all day, if you like. They will catch you fish anywhere in the country, not just SoCal. Dan is a puss, BTW. ;D
