  1. House or trailer ? Not following you there... Care to help with an explanation of your question?
  2. Good to see that goofy grin on here again. Still doing the stereo thing or is this your return to the bass fishing world? Hopefully you stick with the fishing. Just not the same without your pics and info for inspiration.
  3. Black. No doubt. "Dark" in general for most of my baits.
  4. High School sucks? Just wait until life smacks you upside the head a couple times. You'll learn that this is the easy stuff.
  5. There is no longer a need to register. Everything is "on your own."
  6. 20lb CXX is a great all around line and very strong. I also really like the Triple Fish Camo-Escent. Do yourself a favor and get a bottle of KVD Line and Lure. You will need it for whatever you get.
  7. You want another reason to have them on the boat? Try using side cutters with two hands when one of the hands has a 3/0 treble sticking out of it. Believe me, you will then appreciate the ease in which the bolt cutters go through a hook. They are not solely for use on fish.
  8. I would also like to add that "2 years by SSA's standards" is from the date of approval for your application. Example: You apply today, 3/22/10. Initially, your application is denied (happens with a vast majority of cases) and you start the appeal process. On 3/22/11, your case is finally approved and you are determined disabled from your original application date. You still must wait for another year until you are eligible for Medicare (unless you qualify by age). The one positive thing is that you may qualify for state Medicaid benefits due to your disability (state will recognize Social Security's determination). If you make too much money for the state income limits, there is still the possibility that you could qualify for some benefits. If you accrue enough hospital bills, the state agency should have the ability to use your unpaid medical bills to get you under the income limits. This is known as a medical spend-down. You will likely be responsible for a portion of the bills, but the state will pick up the remainder of the unpaid hospital/doctor bills after your portion is paid. A lot of times, the hospital also has the ability to "write off" your portion as a charitable donation, leaving you paying nothing and the state picking up the remainder. This goes for Pennsylvania, but most states have similar plans in place. I would call your local office to check, but my recommendations would be this: 1. Apply for Social Security Disability and follow up with any appeals that may need filed. 2. Apply for state Medicaid benefits. 3. Do not put off surgery due to lack of medical insurance. I will try to be of assistance if you need any help. Like I said, I can only tell you what happens here. This may or may not hold true for your state. Good luck man. Hope all works out for you. Wayne
  9. Standard issue for those who pursue muskies and big pike. They inhale most of the baits when they hit from behind. Most of your musky retailers have these for sale. The Lowe's ones look like a real bargain. Great tip for bass anglers as well. Side cutters do a TERRIBLE job on 1x and larger trebles. Just too much effort required.
  10. Frogtog, as far as SSD goes... Unless you qualify for Medicare due to age (65 or 67), then you must be considered disabled by Social Security standards for 2 years before you are eligible. As for the earned income, you may work but the limit is quite small as others have stated.
  11. Welcome! What town are you in? I live in Fayetteville, near Chambersburg.
  12. Copper or Amber. Sorry, it's not one of the two you listed IMO.
  13. If today is any indication of what next week is supposed to be, I may as well stay home. ;D 1 fish, 2.75lbs on a jerkbait. Had some fish follow a spoon and a couple miss the jerkbait right at the boat. Very tough day. Water temps around 44-45 all day long. Johnnie Law also decided to show up and harass some folks.
  14. Atter talking with more and more people who really throw these baits regularly, I am convinced they will produce numbers (hopefully) - If it stands up for me too in the next 1-2 years - I am gonna start a campaign - big baits catch many fish....I swear, I was scared away from even thinking about trying these tactics for so long because of the rhetoric of "you will not catch anything day on day and wait for that one bite all day long". We will see how I do with them here - but hey, gadsen aint from from B'ham, its gotta work for me too Big fish eat smaller fish everywhere in the world. Alabama is far from an exception. Like was said in the other thread, you will likely gain more knowledge from Bill Murphy than Bill S, but that is for you to decide. If you're "keeping it in the BBZ" with the rhetoric and mindset, you will likely get some strange looks. Way too out there for me. For pete's sake, its only fishing. ;D
  15. 3:16 Mission fish and Rising Son Tylures Kicker series Used MS Slammer (can be had for $25) Or, you can sacrifice getting a couple $25 baits and get a Mattlures Hardgill or 3:16 Baby Wake.
  16. A good lure retriever will often pay for itself the first outing with the more expensive baits. Also, you'd be surprised what I would do for an $8 bait. I hate losing ANYTHING! ;D
  17. Clark, ROF = Rate of Fall This is usually stated in the number of feet a bait will fall during a 10 second time period. Huddlestons are rated at 0, 5, 12 and 16 meaning that each bait in that category will fall approximately that many feet in a 10 second frame.
  18. Nice fish man!! Hey, do you want to fish in that MG tournament next weekend? I need a wing man.
  19. LOL, SP doesnt know anything at all....dont kid yourself. : ;D
  20. I'll be at Meadow Grounds Lake in McConnellsburg in the morning. Depending on the bite, I may pull out and go to Cowan's Gap in Fort Loudon. Raystown is about the closest of the lakes you mentioned and it is still about an hour and a half away.
  21. Looking to fish somewhere with open water this Saturday, 3/20. Meadow Grounds, Cowan's Gap, Pinchot... Let me know if you want to link up.
  22. Just wanted to let some of the local guys know that there is a tournament there next Saturday, 3/27. T time is 7a - 3p
  23. Honestly, yes. I'm not saying a 7lb fish wont hit a 1/4oz jig in front of its face, but a 10" worm will have more drawing power for larger fish as well as catching "average" sizes. For the record, you did mention fish size. Dont get so upset man. There are bigger things to worry about...
  24. Until you adjust your thinking about the size of fish in PA, you will continue to catch the little ones you talk about. You'd be surprised what a 2lb fish can fit into its mouth. To the OP, try a Rage Tail (any of them) or a Yamamoto Flappin Hog for a trailer. I use both on Booyah jigs
  25. Arousing... :-* I hope she gets to 999lbs and dies suddenly from a french fry lodged in her fat-constricted esophagus.
