  1. Different tool. Has it's place, but the Hardgill is a better "swimming" bait than the Ultimate gill (more of a "jigging" bait) Besides, he asked about hard swimbaits...
  2. The 6" BBZ should be out relatively soon and looks like a decent bait. I have two of the SPRO Shads and while they look cool in the water, I have yet to hook up with them. Hard swimbaits in that price range are hard to come by, at least ones that have a great amount of realism and detail. The Sebile Magic Swimmer is another in that range that will produce. Like was said above, if you can hold out and save some money, the Mattlures Hard BG is second to none. They can typically be had lightly used or even new for around $40-45. You just have to look....and hope I dont see it first. ;D
  3. I love that joke. ;D You wouldn't believe some of the stuff I hear/see on a daily basis...
  4. Drawing Steve P. would definitely be cool. I dont know how much of the biologist stuff I would understand, but I am sure something would sink in. ;D Do the guys talk to you while they are fishing, or is it more like "business" on the water?
  5. I think it would be cool to be a VTO for one of those. You're right though, HBC is starting to look like Medium Bass Classic....
  6. I'm there with ya Muddy. I know it wasnt toward Kent. Some on here just can't pass up the opportunity to tell you what they own.... :
  7. Mom and Dad must have upped your allowance.... I am with the OP and Senko on this. That is a bit much for hooks, especially untested hooks.
  8. Definitely. The body of water is around 200 acres, max depth of ~29ft. Average depth, maybe 8-10. http://www.fish.state.pa.us/water/lakes/meadow_grounds_lk/00meadow.htm Any suggestions? I am open to anything at this point. BK42 is my net man. ;D
  9. I keep you around for the comic relief..... ;D
  10. Skipping out on the Meadowgrounds T again this weekend? : Someone's scared.... :'( ;D
  11. I posted a ? about Pinchot sometime last week and got few responses. Either no one is fishing there, or the lake is kicking out some fish and nobody knows nothing :. I would go to Pinchot. Hit me up sometime and I can drag my boat over there to meet you. From what I have heard and read in reports, launch from the upper (away from the dam) launch.
  12. Sometime in September is going to be better for me. Archery season starts here in the beginning of October. Gotta get my money's worth. ;D
  13. Do I spy a Pal's in the first pic? Sounds like a good time, once again. Did you guys get to talk about a "WV Fall Ball?"
  14. Are you sure it wasn't the 10" Anaconda?
  15. Were you throwing your new 3:16 stuff?
  16. That is John Hopkins. Sick builder.... Most realistic for me would again be Mattlures Hardgill series. I have three of them. PS - waiting patiently for Hardbass. ;D
  17. Dan's too busy looking for man-love... ;D
  18. No one asked you, shart stain. ;D The baby boo 5/16 is my favorite jig.
  19. I know but..... Matt, you know as well as I do that people pay little attention to the headlines at the top. Just putting one of the "good guys" out there for the new members to see...
  20. He hasnt been around much, but I think it would be good for some of the newer members to read about Ronnie. Hope to see you next year Ronnie.
  21. I have never used one, but have heard that they are flimsy and the lure weight is overrated. IIRC, Mattlures is the one that said this.
  22. LOL, dude you need to look at the top of the pages. ;D It's right next to the Roadtrip thread I told you about in your other post.
  23. One of the STX's I ordered is going on a frog rod. Another is going on my flipping stick. Both situations, I will be using at least 50lb braid and I will be "horsing" the fish to the boat. I like my thumb to be on the frame of the reel, not the spool. The added drag pressure allows me to take my thumb off the spool and place it in a more natural position for me.
  24. http://www.bassresource.com/bass_fishing_forums/YaBB.pl?virboard=gen_bass;num=1246638259 14 PAGE THREAD AND COUNTING...
