  1. It happens. Plan on attending next year's event when it is announced. See ya there
  2. Some people's kids.... Wish I was wealthy, dont need the hassels of sponsorship and most certainly am not spoiled. Work hard, save the money you would spend on inferior baits and buy a couple proven producers. A 6" Hud or Mattlures Baby bass is only $15, will catch fish all across the country and doesnt require specialized gear. 'Nuff said. Next....
  3. Forget fishing for bass this summer. We need to go after those. Soon. Let me know and I will be on the first Friday bus to WV.
  4. No doubt, see ya there.... : It's amazing to me that you posted about these things, seemingly with no experience of using the worms and you are ready to weigh in a big bag with them?
  5. Its cool. Now ya know, and knowing is half the battle. ;D
  6. Matt, I think that is a snapping turtle.
  7. Next week? Take a shallow crank rod, a jig rod and a spinnerbait rod. All set.
  8. Matt, luckily enough Bobby saw what this guy was all about and he is no longer sponsored by them. Unfortunately, there are an almost infinite number of people out there who will never know about him until it is too late.
  9. Thanks Russ. You possess slightly more tact than I do. ;D
  10. Taking water clarity into account, I would say your smallmouth are going to spawn deeper than a LM. Stick to rock as your main focus, ideally. As you know, PA is not an ideal state for anything bass fishing. They will stack up on points and the first drop-off area, but I would concentrate where that first drop is near considerably deeper water than if I was targeting LM. I would say that smallmouth will tend to suspend near the drop, as opposed to relating directly to the bottom contour. I dont have any experience with B-ville (I assume this is where you are looking), so I dont know any specifics.
  11. So when is BootenRods.com going to be up and running? Ronnie, you build a pretty mean stick yourself. Every jig fish I caught in Kentucky was on your custom. Thanks again buddy!!
  12. There is also a little town called New Oxford that has Conewago Creek running through it. It has smallmouth in it. The largest I have seen come out of there was a touch over 20".
  13. Exactly what prey species are those 14+ worms mimicking? :-/ Doug Hannon's Snake Lure. Everyone knows that
  14. It has been my personal experience that anything sold on the internet for $19.95 + s/h has "gimmick" stamped all over it.
  15. I know this sounds pretty basic, but I think it will pertain to what you are looking for. Just remember that smallmouth orient with stucture more than cover, including during the spawn. Let me put a big IMO at the end so no one gets uppity ;D
  16. Wow. For some reason when I looked at the title of this thread, I said to myself, "This sounds like one of AJ's posts" Sure enough..... ;D
  17. You want motivation? You are paying for the class. Done.
  18. I believe its on article on David Giudice and his sponsor, a Mental Health Center, for the Southern Open. I personally think its an inspiration for those with disabilities, but I can find the humor in it as well He is an inspiration to people with disabilities? I think I have a better chance of inspiring a weight watchers group.
  19. Been to a lot of Jonas Bros. concerts, have ya? :-? You invited me, figured it would be rude to turn you down. Besides, I was going to type "Hanson" but thought no one would know who I meant
  20. You should see this thing in person. Unreal The guides are so small, it looks like a blank with a reel seat attached. Very stealthy. That is a freakin' sick rod. I had the pleasure of watching Jimzee throw it for the first time. He reminded me of a little girl at a Jonas Brothers concert. ;D
  21. I live in Fayetteville and my fiance works in Gettysburg. If you move into the area, let me know. Living in Gettysburg will give you about a 40 minute ride to the Susquehanna and about the same to Lake Marburg. There is a gated community called Lake Heritage in Gettysburg. DEFINITELY get in touch with me if you end up living there.
  22. Red. Fluke :-X I see Russ got nominated for this one....LOL
  23. Yep, bASSmaster for sure..... That guy is just like Tin's spider bite. A real pain in the arse that just wont go away quietly.
  24. I think the thing that scares me the most is the fact that I saw some of those areas last year during the Road Trip. You just never know about the weather. Hope all is well down there.
