  1. Congratulations!! Falcon
  2. For me, here on St. Clair, the Xr50 rules. I rarely use any of my other brands of lipless cranks. Falcon

  6. I've only gotten smallies with a soft swimbait. I didn't get my Sexy Swimmer until very late in the season, so I only used it in my canal for largemouth. I'll be trying the Sexy Swimmer in the Spring, at a few of my smallie haunts. Falcon
  7. Welcome Bill, there's always an open seat on my boat when Jack comes down to fish with me. Falcon
  8. Welcome to the best fishing site on the net. Stick around here long enough, you'll have your fishing PHD. Falcon
  9. My most productive are: 1-Shad Rap in Silver, Silver/Blue, and Shad. 2-Bandit Flat Maxx in Threadfin. 3-Berkley Frenzy Flicker Shad in Shad, and Silver/Blue. Falcon

  11. When I'm coming out of my canal at sunrise, the water is glass calm, water temp is in low 60's, air temp in the 70's, and there is a little steam rising.................I gotta stop, my blood pressure's going up. Falcon IS IT SPRING YET??????????????
  12. 1-XCalibur Xt3 Twitchbait in Pearl Melon. 2-LC Pointer 78 & 100 in Ghost Minnow, Chartreuse Shad, and American Shad. 3-X-Raps 08 & 10 in Silver Blue, Silver, and Hot Pink (smallies love Pink). 4-Bomber Long A's in Firetiger, and Baby Bass. Falcon

  14. I can't pick one. I think that's why I'm so addicted to this wonderful sport. I love reeling in a crankbait, and one of those ill-tempered smallies smacks it so hard, my heart stops. Then the hookset, you rear back, and she's pulling so hard, you think you're hooked to the bottom of the lake. Now the fight, I'm one of those wierdos that likes them to jump. I love acrobatic fish. Falcon
  15. If it were me, I would hit the river. We've had temps in the upper 30's to low 40's, and my canal, and the lake still have at least a foot of ice. Falcon
  16. Soft plastics, although, I have vowed to catch smallies with tubes this season. I'm just too "Type A" to throw out a bait, and wait. I love my crankbaits. spinnerbaits, jerkbaits, and swimbaits. If I'm chucking, and winding, I'm a happy man. Falcon

  19. We were one degree warmer than Florida this morning. Something's off kilter here. Falcon
  20. I've never tried JJ's, but all my soft plastics have Megastrike on them before I cast them out. Falcon

  23. Forgot the plug. Forgot the key. My biggest bonehead stunt was when I left both of my tackle bags on my seawall. The only thing that saved me was, I rigged all six rods before I left the house. Fortunately for me, there was a hot spinnerbait bite that morning, and I only needed one rod. After that trip, there is always a "just in case" bag in my center console. Falcon
  24. It's odd that Maniaci would be talking at your store. He's a well known guide and tourney fisherman here in S.E. Michigan. His nickname is Mini. Also a moderator on a Lake St. Clair forum. Falcon
  25. I'll be fishing up and down my canal for a few weeks. Spinnerbaits, shallow crankbaits, and jerkbaits produce well. Falcon
