Burt and Mullett Lakes
I haven't been up there in years, but when we used to vacation there, I used to slay them in the river. The #40 marker was a very good spot. It's at the bend in the river, and there were some laydowns and stumps that held ALOT of smallies. The only fishing I did in Mullet Lake was for Pike and Walleye. Falcon

I beat the bait monkey

Michigan Reports
If you guys don't mind the walk, when you go to Metro Beach, go out to the mouth of the Black Creek and fish off the point. I've caught alot of smallies off that point. Walleyes too. Falcon

Diamond Shad Eyes
So far, I haven't had any problems with my Red Eye Shad's or Diamond Shad's. After many fish the eyes are still attached. I agree with Bass-Brat, just use a sharpie and color the eyes in. I do it on the baits I make, works fine. Falcon

Lake St. Clair is a very clear lake, so I usually throw white with chrome blades. Falcon

My dad gave me a Helin Flatfish in frog pattern. I caught many bass on that lure. I still have it put away in my museum tackle box. Falcon

Spinnerbait Question
In my opinion there is no bad time to fish a spinnerbait. I admit, overcast, breezy days are best, but I catch alot of fish on clear, calm days with a spinnerbait. Falcon
