Hart X2 Double Spinnerbait
Thanks for the info and Bass ninja that was a big reason for the question I was curious about how the extra arm would impact the tracking of the bait and it sounds to me from your experience I may not want to acquire to many for my trials.

Revo Winch Baitcaster
Been with another brand of reel for many years but was considering switching up to a Revo Winch to add to my crank bait gear arsenal. I have used many Abu reels in the past mostly the 6500's and such for musky rigs but wanted to get feedback on the quality of the drag system on the Revo's as well as their other low profile offerings. Problems with the drag systems on other brands that I won't throw under the bus is my primary concern for looking elsewhere.

Hart X2 Double Spinnerbait
Would like to get some feedback on what other anglers think of these before picking some up to test. Additionally any insight on if they are difficult to tune if mangled by a good bass. Thanks

Maryland's Who's who!
Great start and you sure set the bar for the rest of the work crew to catch you for big bass.

maryland walleye fisherman
Basser I would have to qualify you as a walleye angler because I seem to remember multiple instances when we were actually looking for schools of walleye not smallies.

maryland walleye fisherman
Enjoy fishing for them in the potomac whenever possible they have become quite an addiction for me since 1999.

Maryland's Who's who!
Great pattern on the tiger, I see them so rarely from Black Hills it is great to see.

Walleye lures
I have found some of the bandit crankbaits such as the flat maxx to be very useful for varied depths for walleye.

Maryland's Who's who!
Hey Mike, I would have to agree with basser that I believe our timing is off but I do know they stack up there to a certain extent in conjunction with several species of baitfish and their migration to this area. I personally as well as basser seem to find more stacked up on heavy ledges close to deeper water on the potomac.

Maryland's Who's who!
Basser714 that sounds like some nice smallies. There is a good area downstream from whites ferry for quality fall smallies. Basser89 and I have seen a few smallies over 5lbs out of the potomac so they are there just hard to find at times. 22 inches is my PB for the potomac and I have seen a few larger.

bass baits for fall ponds
I would have to second using some of the soft plastics in particular the stick bait style slowly. Pond fishing in the fall can produce some real hogs.

my first muskie
Beautiful fish and everyone is right it is an expensive pursuit.

Good Maryland Bass
Yea Speedbead i have heard of your fascination with swimbaits from Basser. I don't use them a lot except for muskies myself but I do enjoy using the very large Delong series of plastics. Caught quite a few bass on the Castaics years ago but have not wanted to invest the coin in anything recently.

Good Maryland Bass
Hey Paul, This particular pond has some extremely deep pockets in comparison to its size (done purposely by the owner many years ago) We have found that during post front conditions the better quality fish can be found on the outlying areas surrounding these 3 particular pockets. The slower the baits the better in most cases and held tight to the bottom with movement just not in the extreme variety. With a lot of the plastics I use for this just shaking them ever so slightly in place does the trick.

Re: Good Sunday Morning Bass
Thanks again all. Yea I have caught a double digit bass out of that pond so when Basser and I initially saw it I was thinking around 9 based on the head coming up first.

New Personal best. Guess the Weight
Great bass jason.

Re: Good Sunday Morning Bass
Yea maybe I will work on the nomenclature Skillet. Not being from a state that typically produces giant's I have had a few days with multiple fish in the 8lb + class so those classify as my great days.

Re: Good Sunday Morning Bass
Much appreciated all.

Good Maryland Bass
Much appreciated all. Lee unfortunately it is a private pond in Frederick County and there is only a handful of people that are allowed in to fish it. The majority of the people that fish there don't seem to be able to have the same success with the large bass so I am fortunate to have figured out some good patterns.

Good Maryland Bass
Basser89 and I got out to a local pond today hoping for the best with some strange weather conditions surrounding us. He and I landed more than 20 bass with the largest going 7lb 13.5oz. Thanks for the outing basser.

Great day, new PB for 09....twice
Sounds like you are stepping up your game then, good to hear you are doing well. I know in a lot of the areas that I hit the only option when it gets real heavy like you described are topwater and heavy jigs. Had a similar situation with a real heavy weed flat the other weekend with some good success also. Good luck.

Great day, new PB for 09....twice
Nice job on the PB you and Basser are doing quite well in the canals lately. Basser89 was telling me that you thought you had seen him but was probably me at Little Seneca. People say we look alike so I might have to get cosmetic surgery.

If you had to pick one Pike bait...
In years past have caught a lot of pike in a lake similar to what you described and my two suggestions would be a bucktail in the 6 inch ballpark or jerkbait. Never seemed to do as well with the larger musky size varieties hence the smaller size suggestion.

Some nice topwater bass
Much appreciated Crestliner. Maryland is the state as crazy as that may sound.

Some nice topwater bass
One day I aspire to be like you Musky89.
