  1. Sorry mods, should have listed in "Fishing Tackle" section.
  2. I know how effective a Red Red Eye Shad can be for smallmouth in the pre-spawn/spawn period. But what about largemouth? Are they equally as effective for them? I've been fishing for a good number of years but only recently have started throwing lipless. Thanks
  3. Frogs started croaking last night. Time to sharpen hooks.
  4. 6" Black Power Bait lizard....year 'round. Also, what I have left of 4" Mister Twister lizards in grape/ red flake.
  5. Got about 50.....throw 1.
  6. Never saw him flip once.....he's pretty good at pitching though.
  7. I've heard that they excrete a chemical after being hooked that will warn off their buddies. Hence, a lot of guys will keep smallies in their livewell until they leave an area.

I saw this movie yesterday and though it has a few slow spots, I highly recommend it. Think Top Gun with F4 Corsairs. The fact that it's a true story makes it all the more worthwhile.
  9. About 11 AM. Caught her off a stump on a deep diving crank in 4' of water.
  10. I've been adding it to my pork frog containers for years.......not the oil but the extract.
  11. I hate fishing crankbaits. No other lure has caused me as much grief, and strife, and blood loss. But I catch sooooo many fish on them....including my PB, that I can't not throw 'em.
  12. Bass Pro Shops.....Las Vegas
  13. To me bass fishing is a lot like playing tennis.....if I want to play again tomorrow, I'm not going to eat the ball. ?
  14. The best way I've found to preserve bass meat is to release them immediately after catching them.
  15. Lurepartsonline use to let you order custom spinnerbait heads where you could pick the hook mfg and size, head weight and style, and wire shape and size. I use to order them with .051 wire, cut it off about 1/2" above the head and curl it back to accept the blade. They work great but I don't believe they are offering that anymore.
  16. Although Uncle Josh has re-introduced some of their baits, I would really like some of the shapes and colors that were discontinued.
  17. How do you guys clean the hook eyes after you paint? If I do it when they're still wet I screw up the paint. If I try to clean them out after they dry, the paint chips. I've tried various things to cover the eyes as I'm painting but removing them, wet or dry, presents the same problems. Thanks
  18. Deep Wee Craw is still my favorite CB.....and yes, I have a stock of them.
  19. Smoke with black pepper grubs still catch a lot of fish for me.....particularly in super clear water.
  20. Any top water lure
  21. I remember a summer when Dixie Lee Ray was governor that they were considering cloud seeding.
  22. Welcome, from the wet side of the state. Well, it use to be.
  23. Thanks Glenn, Great Video. I've been fishing these for over 40 years. Still use a #11 pork frog trailer. I actually have some of these in copper and use them a lot in stained water.
  24. Driving to Eastern Washington last week and passed a "Watercraft Inspection Station" near Roslyn. I rolled thru at around 4 AM so it was closed but they want you to stop even if you are just hauling a canoe or any type of floating recreation vehicle. Apparently they are looking for invasive species like zebra mussels, etc. I'm not sure how they inspect or how thorough their inspection is.
