  1. ICAST 2018 is coming up. Let me know if you are still satisfied after that. Its a bad thing to say but I will never be 100% satisfied. I went through all of my combos last year (which are relatively new) and told myself that if I replaced this rod with a nicer one and this reel and so on that I would not need to upgrade anything and I would be set. Well this year has not been the case. I have changed several rods and reels out plus who knows how much tackle I have bought. I have stuff sitting around that I have never thrown.
  2. After every trip out I wipe it down with Boat Bling Hot Sauce. I will usually put a coat of Groits wax on before I store it in the winter. If I am feeling frisky then it might get a second coat of wax early to mid season.
  3. Sweet truck! I currently have a Tundra and don't think I will ever get away from Toyota...... but if I did it would be for a new F-250
  4. I always keep a dry bag with a change of clothes on the boat. You never know when you may accidently take a swim. I also keep all of my rain and cold weather gear in that same bag. Spare trolling motor cable and handle Net Strikezone pocket knockers lure retrievers (best $5 I have ever spent) Hide a spare boat key somewhere. I have been out before and a buddy accidently hit his knee on my ignition switch and broke the key of inside. Glad I did not have to troll all the way back to the ramp. TP or wet wipes Marker Buoys

  9. I did not install a plug on this. It is wired into a blue sea master disconnect switch. 1/4 turn and I can kill both the pos and neg on the trolling motor.
  10. Cutting the tray was not bad. I used a jigsaw with a fine metal blade and a hacksaw where the jigsaw would not fit. I tried to leave as much material as possible for strength purposes. I took it out for the first time this weekend and had no issues with where the puck was mounted.
  11. Thought I should share these photos. I recently installed an Ultrex on my Z7. Once I got the TM mounted I put the pedal into the factory recessed pan and what do you know........ It did not fit. I did a ton of research on what other installers were doing in this situation and I did not find much. Anyways here is what I did and I feel it turned out nicely. Original TM was a 24v Minnkota Maxxum. List of parts that I used Comfortroll Ultrex Pan Blue Sea System battery disconnect switch PROcise Outdoors Dek-It Mount Bobs DeckSaver

  19. Yesterday a friend and I took my boat out to Smithville lake. My buddy had all of his cold weather gear that he had been shedding throughout the day stuffed underneath the passenger console. We decided to make a run and I just happened to look over to watch his nice hoodie get sucked out from underneath. We immediately turned around and trolled over to his hoodie that was surprisingly still floating. He started freaking out telling me to hurry up and get over to it. Come to find out when his hoodie was sucked out from the boat it grabbed one of the hooks on a very nice combo and yanked it in also. There was about a foot of his rod tip sticking out of the water when we got over to it. He was lucky and recovered everything

  24. This problem has been fixed. The bilge pump was locked up. I replaced the cartridge and everything works fine now. I actually ended up freeing up the seized pump and it works just fine. I still replaced with a new cartridge just to be on the safe side. Thanks for the help.
