  1. But then I wouldn't be able to purchase this badddd mama jama ice scraper. I mean I want this thing to be so bad@ss that I am almost looking forward to waking up in the morning with an inch of ice on the windshield and 15 minutes to get to work. ;D You're sick! :
  2. Been using LFT for years, great products. Started using the ring fries when they were in ziplock bags. Did I mention I like the RING FRY?
  3. It is a good set of clubs. I did notice an 'idiot mark' on the top of the driver, though. It's like buying a reel, if that's what you want then do it. I honestly don't know if I'd spend that much before you even know if you're going to like it or not.
  4. Wow, 5 nights in a tent with a 3 year old? You sir, have huge cahonnas. Good luck, have fun and catch a big one off the fishing pier.
  5. What hammer said. (both times) As a former golf professional and professional golfer, take hammer's advice.
  6. I could be wrong, but I think the posts about it coming from Fork and from Fork with a guide are probably just BS. Someone trying to stir the pot. Like it needs stirring.
  7. One thing for certain, the charging flop fouls against your oponents wil go down a bunch
  8. I always considered Kentucky the 2nd best program around, but I guess I can go with the tarholes. ;D With the messiah John Wall on board, I'm not sure there's a reason to play this season. But with your coach's past, the next final four you get in will be vacated, anyway.
  9. Big VIII + 4 is going to be pretty good this year. My Jayhawks and the Horns are going to be strong. K-suck should be improved, moo has picked up some good recruits as well as the Pokes and the Gooners. Bring it on east coasters! 8-) ROCK CHALK
  10. Big Cedar Lodge just south of Branson is awesome with boat rentals on the lake.
  11. I've just used a bildge pump. Put a hose on it to fill the cooler, then remove the hose and let it recirculate periodically. Never had any issues except in hot water. In that case, take plenty of ice with you and always use a catch and release formula.
  12. Simp, same thing around here. Supposed to be 70's and hasn't been out of the 50's in forever. There is some big, bright yellow ball poking it's head over the eastern horizon, but I'm not sure what it is. Haven't seen the sun in a week or so. Had a tournament last weekend and 'bout fell on my arse with all the frost on the boat. I hate cold weather.

I have the weather channel on at work all day but I just glance at it occasionally. At home, less than two hours a day unless it's college basketball season.
  14. I think everybody is skeered to say much. Texas/OU should be a good one but Colorado had Texas' number for a half and OU has looked terrible and great. Few teams have played any significant games. Florida/Arkansas ought to be a good one as well. We'll see how good Florida is. My Jayhawks defense was exposed pretty bad in a narrow win over Iowa St. and we go to Colorado this weekend. Who knows which Buffs team will show up. 8-)
  15. Especially after the initial topwater bite leaves. I've found that there is usually a 1 - 3 hour period after darkness sets in that topwater doesn't work as well. I like dark swim senkos and black n blue jigs during this time period. Then I'll go back to the buzzbaits, jitterbugs, tiny torpedo and spinner baits.
  16. I love hunting season. Lakes are empty and fishing is great! I hunt largemouth, smallmouth and spots.
  17. Some of the grass is visible, but a sure fire way to find it is to look for coots. They are almost always near the grass.
  18. If he doesn't have navionics or hot maps on his gps get a Martins paper map. IMHO it's the best paper map of Fork. There are a lot less visible trees now than there was 12 years ago but they are still there, so take your time out of the boat lanes. Basic rule at Fork--find the grass, you'll find the bass. That should be a great time to fish fork. Chrome traps, swim baits, spinner baits, swim senko, and yellow majic is what I'd have tied on as well as a jig n pig. Water temp should be dropping so watch for schoolies chasing shad. Matt should jump in with more specifics and read Tom Redington's reports. His are usually right on with little or no guide BS. Good luck!
  19. Black with blue fleck swim senko, 3/16ths bullet weight, tail dipped in spike-it, swimming slowly or dragging on the bottom. Killer night time lure. I don't think I've thrown a regular senko at night.
  20. Before, during and after pics are a must!
  21. Thanks, I'll definately be back. Probably Feb. or March.
  22. We had the gps, but I'm glad I bought a map. Wow, that place could get scarry!! Absolutely beautiful but unfortunately it had rained pretty good and there was a major current issue. Only fished it for a half of day. It's just too much for a flatlander. Should have hired Slim for a guide, maybe next time.
  23. I'm leaving tomorrow at noon to do some east Texas bass fishing. Will be fishing Fork on Saturday, Mill Creek and Athens on Sunday, and Caddo some time along with several other lakes. I've fished quite a few lakes in the area with the exception of Caddo. Can anyone give me someplace to start there? So far I've gathered that fish are in or around isolated cypress and pad/hydrilla fields. Thanks.
  24. Sounds like a great deal. I recently got 2000 TR186 w/150 for 12k. The boat was in mint condition so I didn't mind paying that for it. Just be sure you check everything out, spend the money to get the motor checked or at least check the compression youself, and have them take you for a test drive. Good luck.
