I wondered if anyone was going to mention that game. ;D Maybe Roi really doesn't "give a shirt about North Carolina". 8-)
  4. I would definately drive the extra 6 hours to Fork or many other east Texas lakes. If not, in NE Ok. Grand Lake of the Cherokees is your best bet. On the way down here is La Cygne power plant lake just south of Kansas City which can be real good. In SE Kansas there is Bone Creek, good for #'s and some big fish, Big Hill, can be stingy but some good fish, and a bunch of strip pits in the SE corner of the state that have good #'s and some big fish. All of the Ozark lakes in Mo. are good. Too many choices!! By the way,
  5. Happy New Year y'all. I'll have a few beers starting about 1:30 at the pool hall, have a shot with my buddies about 5:00, go home, eat, watch a little TV and be in bed waaayyy before midnight. ;D
  6. What a crock!! Big XII takes another step backwards in football. >
  7. See if Robby has any of those 16 oz. saltwater weights for sale. ;D
  8. Well, stupid me, they went on sale up here after I bought them. Tried the Bagley and the ninja spin yesterday on a power plant lake to no avail. But I only caught one fish in three hours on the blue/chartruese senko. No one else was doing any good either. Merry Christmas!
  9. A couple of ratchet straps ought to do the trick. On my old Crawdad that I use to carry in a pickup, I put a strip of reflective tape on the part of the boat that stuck out the back.
  10. Bocabasser is the man!! Got the goodies in the mail today and there isn't anything I won't use. The frogs are kinda ironic. I mailed yours the day after you mailed mine. Thanks again man, you overachieved.
  11. I caught some nice fish on the dirty shad early this year. All the bites were extreamly aggressive. A couple of times they would hit it and blow it completely out of the water. I'd throw back and they would slam it again. I agree that it doesn't cast very well.
  12. Wall is by far the best freshman in the country. He is, however, still a freshman and makes freshman mistakes. I've watched a few kentucky games and without Wall, they really aren't a top 10 team. Be careful what you wish for as far as getting to the final four. The last two teams Cal coached to a final four had some issues the following year.

  14. They suck against NCAA teams with any type of front court. Got the best guards in the country, but they gotta get them some big men!! Anyway Tarheels are going to when there 2nd consecutive National Championship!!! Their guards are good, but not the best in the country. And as far as the second consecutive national championship... ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D Not going to happen for ole Huckleberry.
  15. Reel and line majic for the guides and levelwind works pretty good. I love it!! Y'all in Texas are all getting snow before we've had any up here. But it is 17 degrees right now.
  16. Might want to see if you can find a 36 volt golf car charger. You would have to change the leads, but that wouldn't be too hard. Just be sure not to get a 48 volt one, as most of the newer ones are going that way. There's a dealer down there around Gander Mountain and Academy somewhere. I think it's south of there on 69.
  17. I've still got a couple of clear cranks from Rogers Bait that flat out catch fish. Wish I could find some more.
  18. I took a bracket off of an old hand controlled, stern mount trolling motor, got a 1" steel pipe and welded an 8" X 14" piece of thin steel to it. You can raise and lower it and adjust the height.
  19. My house is all white and my tree is a Crimson and Blue Rock Chalk tree.
  20. Saw it on the news this morning. Don't bother to open! Typical peta bs.
  21. Just go to www.tackleunderground.com and you will get all your questions asked and then some. BEWARE: The tackle making monkey is far worse that the bait monkey. ;D
  22. Matt, it's in Austin on Feb. 8th. Should be a great year for the Hawks and the Horns. Both teams are experienced, big, and deep. I'd just soon skip this coming Saturday. With Mangino in serious doo-doo and playing down there, it could will be fugly.
  23. RW, that was a butt-ugly game! Pastner has got them playing hard. As a die hard Jayhawk fan I didn't think we deserved to win that game. But, then again, we shouldn't have won the last time we met. Kansas played about as bad as we could, but a lot of that was because of the Tigers defense. I think Memphis will be pretty good, but they are fairly short and do not have a deep bench. College basketball is still the greatest sport on earth!
  24. Agree with Cart on everything. Bright colored jerkbaits have always done good there in the spring for me. One more weapon to have tied on would be a bitsy bug or some other small jig and trailer in black n blue or some variation of brown.
