  1. 95 - 60 Sorry, I had to.
  2. Defending NCAA Basketball Champions. 8-)
  3. The 536 is pretty soft. I use a 1/2- 502 and a 1/2 -536 mixture on most of mine. On jig trailers I just use the 502 and sometimes add a little hardener.
  4. Yup, got a post there as well. If they don't know, I'm guessing it doesn't exist. I think Bears Baits is trying to get some made but I'm impatient.
  5. I saw their one-piece and it looks pretty good. I would just prefer a 2-piece if I could find one. Thanks
  6. Does anyone know where I can get a 2-piece, aluminum baby brush hog mold?
  7. What everyone els said. I started pouring plastics this last fall and I think I have the price down to about $1.59 a piece. ;D Oh, wait, I've got another order to get in today. Well at least I tell my wife I'm saving money!
  8. I wonder how crowded White Oak has been the last few days! ;D
  9. I have fished the BFL as a co-angler and I think you got it about what I carried. One thing I did though, was to take up to 10 rods and all my plastic boxes with me. Then after meeting your boater go back to the room that night and sort through what you'll need the next day based on what your boater is going to do. Your boater will determine whether you fish deep, shallow, fast, slow, etc. Get it down to one tackle bag and don't forget things like your terminal tackle, line, sunscreen, pliers, scissors, and even your hand held scales. You never know when your boater will have an equipment malfunction.
  10. No offense to the canoe and yak fishermen because everyone I've met loves to fish out of them, but personally I would go with a buster type boat. They are more stable, a lot less work (I'm old), and still light. You can get a small trolling motor and make or buy a rudder for the back to help with the wind. I've had two Coleman Crawdads and have had them on big lakes with no problems. JMHO, good luck with whatever youd do.
  11. Years ago, I would go into lacal tackle shops, grab a cup of coffee and BS with the owner for quite a while. The old tackle store owners actually knew what baits were hot at the time and knew how to fish them. They could fix reels and give you fishing tips. With all the Academy's, Dicks, etc. around everywhere and running the little guys out of business I just go in, get my stuff, and get the heck out. It's really too bad that the big stores, for the most part cannot find knowledgable people to work for them.
  12. It will obviously depend on your boater, but do not make the mistake of using too heavy of line. 6 to 10# I would have a small crankbait, blue/chart., blk/chrome, blue/chrome, a bitsy jig in pbj, rogue or pointer with red/chrome/yellow, blue senko, and blk n blue, either swim senko, baby brush hog or salt craw. Good luck and have fun.
  13. I hear ya. My insane hours start in about a month and I was told I will have one less (40 hrs./wk) part time person on maintenance and one less in the clubhouse this year. I had to cancel about $4000. worth of pre-emergent herbicides and create some no-mow areas. But "don't do anything to lower the quality of the golf course". :
  14. ;D ;D OMG, I'm sitting in my office, tears in my eyes and laughing as hard as I have for quite a while. Two thumbs up! Carry on, Sir.
  15. Who knows? I have a mentally challanged sister that caught a 5# bass on an old wooden clothes pin with no hooks years ago. Pour a couple and give it a try.
  16. for soft plastics, Bears baits, lure craft, and dels
  17. When I lived in SE Nebraska they had tournaments where you could fish anywhere because there were no lakes close by. The very first place we would go was a little beaver puddle no more than 5000 square FEET and we would catch a limit of 2#ders in 15 minutes then go look for bigger fish esewhere. I'd definately check it out.
  18. I haven't done it with POP but I spray garlic cooking oil (make sure it isn't water based) on my rtv, aluminum, and bondo molds and it seems to work pretty good.
  19. ;D It's awesome that we can joke about it now. Two or three hundred yards either way and it would be catastrophic. I still can't get over the skills of that pilot.
  20. RW, I would love to have you come down for a couple of days. It sure as heck isn't Fork or east Texas but there is a bunch of good fishing around here. Good job over the kitty cats the other day!
  21. East Texas. By far the best area to go this time of the year. Tons of lakes, BIG bass and fairly inexpensive. If that is not an option, then SE Kansas can be really good that time of the year. Big Hill and Bone Creek lakes + over 250 strip pits, open to the public, have some excellent bass fishing as well as crappie, walleye, cats and even a good trout pit. Come on down!
  22. Just something to think about. When I was in hi school, I was really good at golf and was working at the local country club. My boss at the time told me that if I liked to play golf, go into another profession such as teaching, medical, law...anything but the golf profession so I would have time to play. When everyone wants to play golf, you work. Well, in 35+ years since then, I've been a Golf Professional, a Professional golfer, and a golf course superintendent and play less than someone in another profession. Just something to ponder, use your skills in another field and try to obtain your goal as a professional fisherman but have something to fall back on in case you are not one of the small percentage that make it.
  23. 11.80, eight months ago about 12 miles from my house. 8-)
