Golly and Gee Whiz! I cannot believe the rampant excitement being exhibited by the prospective attendees! It's totally underwhelming! Not one post in the last ten days! OK, I'll start the ball rolling. From what I can gather from the crappy web site of G'vill State Park, most of the accomodations consist of a two bed-room layout with a King bed in one room and two Queens (please, no gay jokes) in the other. This layout would be appropriate for say, three guys, or a couple and two guys. Let's just stick with three guys. I'm looking for two other guys who would be willing to split the cost of the room with me for all five nights. If a married couple is interested, you would obviously have the room with the King, and the cost would still be divided by three. As background info, I'm sixty-one, I smoke, and I drink. I will not smoke in the room at any time. I would prefer to room with mature individuals who are not inclined to party to late hours. Since we will all be there for the fishing, I truely doubt that partying will be an issue. Also, I have a 17' Tracker that I can share only one seat with. I would prefer to share it with a seasoned bass fisherman because I have very little experience at the sport. My PB is 4lbs, caught during the last BR trip at Lake Fork. It's shown on my Avatar. Hey guys, it's all about fishing AND catching. How many rods, reels, lines and lures have you loaded on your boat on each fishing trip? How often do you change out your rods, reels, lines and lures from trip to trip? How many of your rods, reels, lines and lures will never be used, or will never be used a second time? My wife and I have an understanding about the clothes in our closet. "If you have not worn it for two years, you will never wear it, so get rid of it." I have not been bass fishing for very long, but I'm beginning to understand that the same "closet" analogy applies.

Frogtog, the only reason I made this recommendation is that it would allow the use of the bow depth finder and the TM while the main electrics were turned off, i.e. the key was turned to off. Since the LCD unit and the transducer are located up front with the TM, and since the electronics draw very little power, it seems logical to me that one should tie in the power to one of the TM batteries. MY IDIOT LIGHT JUST STARTED FLASHING. :-[ :-[ :-[ Shane is running his batteries in series, so 24 volts are being provided to the TM. The electronics need 12 volts. Options: Run a pair of wires back to one of the TM batteries, or tie in to the cranking battery circuit. Despite my red face, I would still recommend that the electronics up front be tied to one of the TM batteries. With the advent of dual GPS/Depth systems, having the ability to navigate from up front could prove very important in the event of a systems failure with the big motor and its electrics.

My firm will prove, beyond a shadow of a doubt, that LBH is, at the very least, a willing contributor in the commission of this atrocity. I would recommend that you get a three bank charger so that you can charge your cranking battery while you are charging the TM batteries. Yes, you can hook up the two banks to the TM batteries. All main panel wiring should be tied in to your cranking battery in such a manner that when you turn the key off, all the other electrics are off as well. The only electrics that should be tied in to your TM batteries would be the bow-mount depth finder.

Go to the Bass Pro site www.basspro.com and read the user evaluations of the various chargers. Dual Pro wins. Hands Down. Based on that information, I bought a re-built unit from Dual Pro. George Welcome is an icon in bass fishing circles. I would not hesitate to purchase anything he recommends.

Why don't you go to the top of the board and read the Senko thread under the "Important Topics" section. My young sir, you are kicking a dead horse. Senko fishing has been discussed so much on this board that most any regular who sees the word Senko will simply ignore the thread, let alone take the time to post photos. You have discovered nothing new and very few of us really care these days. I'm sorry to bust your bubble, but I will offer congratulations on your catch.

Despite my advanced years, I've been bass fishing for only a couple of years. Up until recently, I've fished exclusively with plastics. On a recent trip to Toledo Bend, I decided to try using a 6" Zara Spook just for a change of pace. What a blast! This was my first time fishing top-waters, and to watch the bass explode out of the water when hitting the lure was priceless. I caught my two largest fish on that lure. One was 17" and the other was 15;" nothing to write home about, but I thoroughly enjoyed the experience.

OK, Blade, I'll let you in on a little secret. I've got a Sugar Momma. Before I graduated from college I married a beautiful young redhead. After graduation we spent a coupla years in Louisiana (where we grew up) and I then proceeded to drag her and my kids all around the globe for the next eleven years. We lived in some real S**T Holes at times. I worked in the oil patch. When we returned to the States back in 1985, my beloved wife decided that she wanted to go back to school. Today, she is a very successful CPA and I am semi-retired. She buys all my toys and pays for my fishing trips - a GREAT Sugar Momma. The only thing I had to do was to provide for my family and it's needs for thirty-five years. Sugar Mommas are great to have, but you always pay a price for the privilege. For me, the price was worth every penny.

Helmet shining?! NEVER! I prefer an iron oxide patina on my helmet. In addition, the four inch spike on the top would likely damage the roof liner in one of those beauties. Please don't get me wrong. Those low-rider guys spent many thousands of dollars to create their masterpieces. And kudos to them for participating in the parade. Low-Riders are just not my thing.

I'm with Frogtog, I think. I buy a cell phone because I need a phone - period. If I want to send/receive e-mail, it's done on my computer. The only text messages I send are generated in such a manner that spelling and grammar are checked before the message is posted, and they are never generated from my cell phone. Remember? It's a phone!. It has always amazed me that there are so many people out there who waste so much time texting with their bastardized English, when it would be so much easier just to call them. Go figure.
