  1. Don't peg your texas rig so tight, give it room for the weight to slide forward and the bait to back off of the weight up into the water some
  2. I love all of these, great thread, I grew up on my grandpa's pontoon on a local lake, he was retired and grandma didn't work summers because she was a secretary at a school so I pretty much spent every day of every summer out with them. So many great memories, wish he was still agile enough to go and grandma was still alive to complain about how long we were gone.
  3. Yes, actually since that post I bought another tatula lt spinning reel and rod and 3 more tatula baitcasting rods and reels. They're all great.
  4. I go to the one in Peoria Illinois about every week, good selection and better prices than the bass pro down the road, also have different items that bass pro doesn't carry. I like them.
  5. Buy the Matt Allen dirty jigs swimbait heads with the keepers
  6. I have a 2002 GMC Yukon XL that stays loaded with all my rods and gear so it's ready to go when I am, has 14 rods hanging from front to back, only gets driven when I'm going fishing.
  7. Did it work, I have the same problem with my costas and it's driving me crazy
  8. I have one and love it
  9. I have the 150, I like it, no experience with the ct
  10. Whew, thought it was just me
  11. Decided to upgrade all my spinning gear, bought 5 new tatula lt spinning reels, a tatula baitcaster and 6 tatula rods. Ouchie. Went a little overboard
  12. Love them, always have one tied on
  13. Probably carp that you were seeing, keep at it, you'll get it.
  14. You can get a set of dividers from bass mafia super cheap and remove some of the foam blocks, they have great customer service
  15. Rough guess 36 years, I'm 39, been going since I can remember. Grandpa was retired and grandma had summers off since she worked for the school, spent every summer with them camping and fishing off their pontoon and the docks, wouldn't trade that time for the world. Hoping that when I get grandkids I'll be able to do the same with them. That's me on the right with my youngest uncle on the pontoon.
  16. I have several of the Tatula XT rods, absolutely love them and have had zero problems.
  17. I had the oakley freshwater prizms for a while and they are nice but I switched over to the Costa Blokes with the 580g green lenses, best glasses I've ever owned, light, no fog and crystal clear, I bought a second pair for my daily's I like them so much. Not cheap but worth it in my opinion.
  18. Most tackle stores will have a bin or you can mail it in, don't let it get to the landfill http://www.berkley-fishing.com/Berkley-recycling.html
  19. I've got the Blokes in 580g and love them, had the blackfins and they did nothing but fog, I'm blaming that on my fat face sealing too tightly to them.
  20. I've got a nice Abu backpack from dick's, wasn't overly expensive and does what I need it to do when I use it.
  21. Do a little web browsing and you'll see the combination being used in multiple cleaning applications, the reaction between the two does some pretty nice stuff when it comes to that.
  22. Agree with the vinegar, add some baking soda too, the combination should help.
  23. Absolutely nothing wrong with a pad crasher.
  24. Three weeks in a row the bait monkey got me again, tatula froggin rod, duckett ghost mh rod and this week an aetos from the end of season clearance, plus 600 yds of power pro, some keitech swing impacts, it's like Christmas but better.
