  1. B stock rods, they call them. Extra rods from shipments sent to stores. From triumphs to elites/extremes, all 50%. A $200 new extreme is a beautiful thing! Never paid more than 50% for a St.Croix. If you live near Park Falls, like me, i HIGHLY recommend you visit.
  2. Nope! 50% of the original price on them all
  3. Needless to say, my quick trip to Park Falls was a success
  4. Could be that the little pads that meet the end of the spool tips are dry. Or the brake rotor on the palm side is dry and the brakes are rubbing to rough on it. Try putting a little oil on the pad under the bearing on the palm side and under the spool tension knob. And a light coating on the brass rotor on the palm side. As far as the spool moving side to side, what TheRodFather said.

    Looovin those frogs!
  6. This weekend is supposed to be in the 50's
  7. St.Croix Bass X 6'8" m/ef for the smaller stuff
  8. The place i work you're required to wear those foam earplugs so i have hundreds. Definitely going to try out stuffing them in tubes like that! Neat idea
  9. Just looked at mine. Try just pushing the rotor into the spool a bit
  10. Exactly what i use my bb1 pro for. And although it isnt on your list, look at the Speed Freak by Quantum. I have one, tough as nails. 35 ipt on that. I know TT did a review on it. But again, a bb1 pro is what i have and use for frogs. Love it. Oh, and welcome aboard!
  11. As far as reels go, I'd recommend the Curado. Cabelas has em on sale rn for $150 I believe
  12. All i know is i have a Curado PG that i use for crankbaits and I havent had any issues with its speed. Great reel. To each his own, though.
  13. (New to me) Alphas Type F. My first reel of its kind!
  14. Hi i was wondering where people can get cheap bearings for handle knobs and such. On a reel like a curado 70, for example
  15. BFS= Bait finesse system. My understanding of bfs is essentially fishing ultra light casting rods, reels, line, and lures for pressured fish. That is my interpretation of it, anyway. Im sure others will be able to answer this better than I. Its big in Japan, too.
  16. Veritas rods are on sale for $80 now, in case ya didnt already know. But id still go with the HMG. Like Kbeeb said Abus run heavy.
  17. I'd say updating. The revo g3 have been out for quite awhile now. And with the updates on the Mgx and Xtreme, a gen4 series is likely coming out soon.
  18. Welcome! Another Wisconsinite here.
  19. Welcome! Another WI guy here, as well.
  20. I've used em, and will continue to do so! One of my most favorite cranks, as are all of the DTs. Like others have said, just don't smack em on the water and you'll be fine
  21. From what I can tell, I'd go with the Giant Dog if you're looking for just a walking bait. The Xpod walks nice, but not as good as the Dog. But if your looking for versatility, get the XPod. Walker, popper, and you can swim it quick and get it down half a foot.
