Spinner or buzz?
I just can't get myself to take off a chatter bait in order to put a spinnerbait on. I know spinner baits are excellent, but there's just something about a chatter wit that is addictive to me. Buzz baits to me are a whole different ball game and if the bass are hitting top water, they are without a doubt my favorite. But, bass aren't always hitting on top so it takes away a lot of the fun.

Any good vacation rentals with bass fishing ponds, lakes, rivers on property near Orlando?
I went out with Steve Boyd, www.floridabassadventures.com, on Toho and I am planning return trips now to fish with him. Good guy, tell him I said hi. Turkey Lake boat rental was awesome as was just about any lake in Orlando. There is a lot of water to fish and October will be much better than my late July trip.

Learned a valuable fishing lesson today
I was doing really well fishing some grass and working my way to within about fifteen feet of the shore where a guy had just finished working his hunting dog and kenneling it in his truck. I made two or three casts, and as he was picking up his gear, he saw me and launched a duck into the water near my boat. I'm thinking I don't understand, and then he got the dog out of the truck who of course made a beeline for the decoy. Dog and decoy leave the water, jump into the truck along with the driver and the all leave. Guess he was proving some kind of point to me about his right to train his dog.

Welcome. I spent six years living in South Jersey. I wasn't to interested in fishing at the time, but as I recall, a lot of that had to do with the lack of places which were accessible to fish.

Poppers
After you go through thirty different cadences and find the right one, you can start to play with starting your action immediately when the bait hits the water or waiting until the rings subside. Then play with colors for awhile and bait size. Don't forget silent vs. noisy. Next change type of line followed by the line test. Pay attention to the clouds in the sky, sun position, barometer, water color, and water temperature. Once you find all of the correct answers, start it all over tomorrow because the bass are guaranteed to change their mind.
