  1. Sounds like a great trip. My albie season was a quick. 1 week stretch. Got a few nice schoolies on freshwater gear today during the storm. Driving by the water saw birds working and a blitz. Cast after cast!
  2. Went out for my first legit bass mission since May! Did some shore banging. Got a chunky bass at spot 1 on a Texas rig. Spot 2 I saw a lot of bait bustin. I missed 3 decent fish. Each broke me off on 3 different rods and 3 different baits. A Texas rig, a wobble jig head paired with a 5 inch swimbait, a 4 inch savage swimbait. Tried a spook, lipless crank and chatter bait but didn’t get any fish. I got a big pickerel on the savage. Spot 3 Is one of my favorite spots. BUt day fishin sucks cuz of all the pickerel. I had a bunch of hits on topwater. Manage a few pickerel.
  3. Went out for albies Saturday. Sun up to sun down. Saw many fish at sun up. Got my 2nd Spanish mackerel. So stoked. Had a nice albie hit. Saw a lot of people hook up. The spot was packed! There was a lot of fish and even more people. But the albies kept sticking out away for my to cast at them. It was a long day. Only one fish. But that’s albie fishing. Checked out a few areas as well. Didn’t see much elsewhere
  4. I caught my albie. But the pictures didnt come out so good. Oh well. I’m very happy that I caught this fish. It’s not about that picture! I can’t wait to catch more!
  5. I am so incredibly happy to have land my first Spanish mackerel. I can check this fish off my bucket list. Such a beautiful fish. I hooked into a monster albie! In a non conventional way. A live blue fish. I almost got spooled. I had 2 other hard hits on live blues. I also had a needle fish hit. Landed a schoolie and a Black Sea bass!
  6. Took an hour drive after work for some albies and Spanish macks. Had a quick shot at albies and macks. One guy hooked up to a big albie! Saw lots of bait. Albies and macks didn’t want anything to do with my lures. The quest continues for an albie and Spanish mack. Did get a small bluefish and Black Sea bass
  7. Thanks bud. It was my second time fishing for them. 1st time from shore. I’m an albie virgin. Any advice for shore albies? If you care to share some spots PM me. Thank you. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. heading down tomorrow afternoon and probably everyday this week. Saturday doing an all day trip. Sun up to sundown
  8. Slow weekend of fishing. Yesterday went out pike fishing we saw some fish but they wouldn’t bite any of our lures. Finally got the only fish of the day in the bottom of the 9th on a live sunfish. Today went to Rhode Island and the cape for some albie fishing. Saw some at the first spot at sunup to far to reach with a cast. No fish until the last spot. We saw plenty again to far to cast. we had a few shots when they came close my buddy had to hits. The hunt continues. I need a 20lb pike and some albies!
  9. Fish your confidence baits then if that don’t work pull out your inner Dogbone lol
  10. yea I’d say the fish is about 5lbs long skinny fish! I bet there’s some senkos in its belly. That fish looks to have 6lb potential if it was a healthy fish. Always tough to tell by a picture.
  11. Let’s go. It’s been awhile. I haven’t gone bass fishing all summer!
  12. Bunch of stripers on Friday all on freshwater tackle. Such a blast. my buddy and I went on an adventure yesterday. Laker salmon and pike trip. Started out looking for smallies and lakers. I got a nice hit at sunrise on a metal. Some guy did pretty well on metals Down the shore from us. He caught 3 lakers and a fat rainbow. I ended up with one healthy laker, a missed laker and a whack. Packed up hiked out of the spot. Went to check the salmon spot. Didn’t see any fish nor did we get any. Fished a small creek for trout. Ended up with a few fallfish tiny bass and sunny on worms. Fun fishing. Last minute decision to go pike fishing. Went to my favorite spot. My buddy had a giant come up and smash his swimbait. It unfortunately missed his lure. I had a good hit quick run on a spoon. Unfortunately my buddy never got his first pike laker or salmon. He did catch his first fall fish. I caught a baby smallie, baby largemouth, baby Sunnie, a fall fish, a yellow perch and a fat lake trout. Good day.
  13. Drop shot, jigs, tubes out deep over offshore structure
  14. I haven’t been since April! Last week was my first time since May I’ve gone bass fishing. I need to get out there. But I’ve caught some of the biggest bass I’ve ever caught in the dog days of summer
  15. Great afternoon on the boat yesterday. I took my buddy and his 11 year old son out. My goal was for him to get a big fish. Mission accomplished. We found boats and a big big school of pogies. We also had a whale in the middle as well. The kid got first fish! He got a fat 38 inch fish. We got 3 fish all 20lbs. We had a few big runs. Had some blues bite the pogies in half also stole some gear!
  16. Striper fishing has been slow. Ton of bait around! But small bass. Miles and miles of pogies. Mackerel and even squid. I knew the big bass would show up. Saw some humpback whales and minky whales feeding along the beach. After hearing a good report of bass fishing early I had to jump on the boat! Saw the whales bait and fish but the fish would not eat. They would follow the pogie up chase it play with it but not eat. I headed back in waited for the tide change and the sun to go down. Went back out little south of where I was fishing earlier. My buddy on his boat got a nice 38 inch fish on a mackerel not even fishing the same way I was. Another buddy on his boat hooked into a giant fish. We found the bait And the fish. 10 min of finding the bait we had the first fish. Hooked into the pogie immediately hooked into a big striper! 26lbs. The bait schools kept popping up and down. Searched the area and found them again. We had a couple of big hits! My buddy got his fish. Weighed 25lbs
  17. Check out west res, sandy pond, hawks nest, lots of little ponds to hit around there!
  18. I’m also hunting my first bowfin! All I got is use shiners! Been doing a lot of striper fishing. Finally got the first good one! Low to mid 30 inch fish. Tried a new are and new way of fishing. Only got one fish but it was the right fish! Got plenty of mackerel saw a ton of pogies! we were jiggin mackerel in 65 feet of water. My brother got one and started bringing it up. A bigger fish came up and smoked it. Screaming run and quick splash! Have no idea what it was! Lots of bait around! Waiting for the 20 30 and 40lb fish to smell them out! Been getting alot of cod inshore as well! Never seen this many before! Usually just one or 2. But we were getting multiple fish. Not even going for cod and getting a few
  19. I’m waiting for those cows in the canal to move north.
  20. Go get em! Hoping for the first keeper of the year!
  21. Haven’t gone bass fishing in a month. Boats in the water time for some bass of the striped variety
  22. Oh yea! I’m well aware that cod is a no go! And strippers are 28 inches hahaha! I mean stripers. I keep up with the regulations! We were just messing around seeing what bites my hook! I don’t usually keep fish!
  23. Went out for carp yesterday Morning. Saw a bunch of big carp but couldn’t get them! Went back home to head out on my uncles boat. We got a bunch! We got 3 cod, a mackerel, few strippers, a whitting, a cunner and a few scalpuns
  24. Nice dude! Ive been getting them off my backyard, water is finally clear. The tide hasn’t been good tho. Need water in the marsh for the strippers to come in! At low tide there’s no water. Been seeing some bigger fish following my plugs! But haven’t been committing. The tide is high when the sun is high! High tide at dusk is the best time to fish!
