  1. Finally broke the 2 year slump. Haven’t caught a 5lbs bass In 2 years almost to the date. Same exact spot as the last fish, (6.13 on a slammer). Fish was 5.9. Caught it on a real prey. A 3.6 on the same RP and a 3.3 on a Matt’s shad. Had a few good whacks. Had a big fish spit on the jump!
  2. I like to buy local American made stuff fir a lot of tackle.
  3. Go at night and walk the shoreline with a headlamp. You’ll see all sorts of bait fish up shallow!
  4. Yep!!!!!! I’m excited for it. Love the action. Just creep up top!
  5. Nice fish guys. fished 4-midnight yesterday. Fished 3 spots. Got 4 bass and a crappie after dark all on topwater. 9 inch slammer Matt’s meathead and a buzzjet got bit. Biggest going 2.14 on the meathead. All fish at pond 2 after dark
  6. Went out to try for my first tiger trout. The pond was packed. Got a nice little brown trout.
  7. Got out for an afternoon/night trip. First spot I got a bunch of pickerel. Good size ones to. Fished a few different areas on this spot. Only pickerel. Spot 2. Nothing. I’ve caught more sunglasses here then fish. Spot 3! Nothin. Spot 4 is a go to night spot, I missed 3 fish. First one was a good fish. Spit hook trying to land it. 2 other hits were on topwater. I fished long pond for trout after dark. Nothin. Then went to littles pond. Stuck it out for 2 hours. Had 2 hits and got 1 nice brookie at midnight.
  8. Did some catfishin last night With some buddies . It was fun. Wasn’t fast and furious but we got a handful! I also got an eel.
  9. Yep. I try deeper and get nothing!
  10. Go south in Ma open water down here all winter
  11. Worst part is I’m seeing everybody slaying big fish locally. I’m fishing everything from 9 inch swimbaits to 4 inch ned rigs. I can put the pattern together and figure out where they are. I’ve been getting bit. Just all small fish.
  12. You’re not kiddin. Hate the rollercoaster weather. 50s and 60s 1 day, next day 30s then back to the mid 40s. Up and down. Rains then sun.
  13. Got a handful of fish today in the boat. All fish and hits today were up really shallow on the windblown shore line in brush. Only in one area. Fished the whole shoreline and out deeper. Found smaller fish up shallow. Tried looking deeper for a bigger fish. Got 2 crappies deeper on a rattle trap. All bass came on the Texas rig creature bait. Stopped for a quick shore mission on the way back home. Got a pickerle and missed a good fish on the jig. Talked to a guy on a kayak, he said he did pretty well.
  14. I’ve been fishin open water since mid January up here in Massachusetts. Been catching a lot on big swimbaits, not big fish mostly small 2-3lbs fish some 4s mixed in. I’ve added Texas rig, jerkbaits, jigs, spinners, cranks to the mix. I even got topwater fish in February and March here in Ma. Lot of different baits can work this time of year. I had a couple good hits on a wind blown bank along the drop off and weed edge, fishing the jerkbait, never been to this pond. On Wednesday I fished a pond I’ve only been to twice. Once in the kayak and once from shore. Maiden voyage on the New boat, did good flippin Texas rig creature baits up to shallow brush.
  15. Maiden voyage of my new boat. Finally got out to give it a test run. Got out after work for a quick mission. Started fishing about 5. Took 20 minutes to find the fish. Flippin a Texas rig up shallow got the most fish. I missed a ton of fish. My buddy left is rods in my car, so I grabbed one to see how it is. Well that cost me a lot of fish. The d**n braid was slipping so I couldn’t get a good hook set. Fished jigs chatterbait squarebill. But the swimbaits and Texas rig worked. Only couple hits on the swimbaits. All the rest were on Texas rig creature bait
  16. Depends on what I want to catch. I travel 400 miles 1 way, 7.5 hour drive a few times of year to catch steelhead, salmon and brown trout. For bass I travel up to 2.5 hours. Pike 1.5 hours, carp 1.5 hours. my spots I frequent are 30 min- 1 hour drive. I drive a lot for the multiple fish species I chase.
  17. the strike king rage series has the best smell. It’s pleasant and the fish love it to.
  18. My best friend I met because of fishing. Only been friends for 6 years.
  19. It was a blast. So much fun dude. Great afternoon shore fishing. Got 6 bass, 3, 3.11, 3.15 and 4.6. TK with no lip fished on the surface got the most fish. Had some good blow ups and missed fish. Got the 4.6 on the RP alewife. A few pickerel and the 3.15 on the Swaver
  20. d**n. I hope I got the right one. The website didn’t give me much info on what model number I need.
  21. I got minn Kota endura trolling motor. The pin broke but also the prop is beat to ****. Can I just use any minn Kota prop or does it have to be made for the endura? I know there’s sizes, I think this is a 3 1/4 so could I just get another 3 1/4? The local Walmart has props. It would save me the 1 hour drive to bass pro
  22. Since it’s been nice out I decided to stop by an estuary to see if any holdovers were putting around. Figured I would catch a schoolie or 2 if I was lucky enough to get anything. Had my freshwater spinning rod with a small savage swimbait, not sure the name. After a few casts of nothing. This fish came up and inhaled the little 4 inch bait. 25lbs. 2nd striper of the year!!!! I’m still shaking
