I am looking into getting a 2nd unit for my boat. It currently has a hook2 3x on it, so I am going to stay with hook2 style. What size should I get? It would go on my console, do I get 5" for console and 5" for bow, or 7" console and keep the 3x at front? Either way the console would have all the goods on it with side scan, gps... Etc. Thanks for the help

It has a 3" lowance unit on it. Should I look into a lowance 7" with di and si for the front?

What would you get? trying to stay under $500, so helix 7 or 5, lowance 5, or 7?

I am getting a boat that has a lowance 3" unit on it already. On the front there is no fish finder. 3 questions: 1. Do I get a unit for the front? 2. If yes, then should I go with a lowance or hummingbird? 3. Does it matter if I cross brand the units on the same boat?

i ordered a turnkey rod building kit from Mudhole.com (everything to build a rod) and in that package i got the eyes but no clue how far to put each one from eachother.... how do i start? and how far should i put them apart? 7' spinning rod, 2 piece. thank you!

so basically when looking at your spinning rod when fishing the spine is on top?

Update: just got all my gear from mudhole. I have found the spine of the rod. With the spine, does that go on the outside of the rod on a spinning rod? Ex. Reel is below and spine on top? Thank you! Or is spine always on top?
