  1. Y'all can make these yourself. Use cheap stickbaits (they sink slower). Gary Yamamoto sells the skirts. You use a lighter to heat up the cut down stick and just melt it to the skirt. Very easy. These are different then the ones I make but should work http://www.overstockbait.com/ProductDetails.asp?ProductCode=GYG-11-10&utm_campaign=Ebay_Comm_Network&utm_medium=shopping&utm_source=ebaycomm&387
  2. It worked well in dirty water the other day. They sink slow with a 1/16 jighead and you can "feel" the baits resistance and keep in coontact with it.
  3. Lost mine first day I had it to a 30# grass carp. Attach the buoy and use the lanyard around your wrist LOL
  4. Jtrout, fish those Hudds painfully sloooow. Nice feesh Nolan!
  5. Anyone run the skirt like I do to extend the bait and get better flare?
  6. I like this color
  7. I use the Bears 5" stick mold four cavity and get eight NED baits from a shot. I dont use any sink additive. I just got a Basstackle spyder skirt mold and added it to the front. Slows the fall and looks pretty cool I think. I also use 1/16 weedless jigheads with a #1 hook that work great.
  8. Make your own skirts. Easy and fun to do in the winter.
  9. TY all. I will try the proper NED rig.
  10. Dropshot with weedless hook. Use a 3/8-1/2 weight. With vertical presentation you can "feel" your way through brush and the heavy weight when jiggled can pull the hooh free. BTW you can get generic blade baits for about a dollar each on ebay. You need to add your own hooks and hardware.
  11. Thanks for the insight on the origin and the tips. Here is what I use. These are 1/16 with a #1 hook. I inject my own plastics so use the 5" stickbait mold with plain soft plastic and no sinking additive. We do really well with it and it skips great under docks. I call it a NED rig but that is not correct terminology I guess. My buddy calls it the "Turd" rig, so maybe that's what it will be called LOL I dont understand why the mushroom head is so important or different.
  12. I know what a NED rig is but lets see how others feel about this. The original "True" NED rig is a light (1/16 or so) mushroom head light wire hook with a Zman TRD. What if the bait is changed to lets say, a 2.5-3" tail portion of a stick bait. Or a regular ball head jig is used. Or both. Is it still considered a NED rig? I know it's not branded or trademarked but would this be similar to calling a generic soft stickbait a Senko?
  13. Get a Pointer and be done with it.
  14. Not technically a NED rig but has anyone ever tried usung 3" of the back of a Zoom Fish Stick on a NED type jighead? I would think it would work well.
  15. I use these #1. Strong, sharp and fish dont seem to get off as easy. http://www.ebay.com/itm/121981646918?_trksid=p2060353.m2749.l2649&ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT
