  3. Oh well see, fast food here makes 7-8 an hour, so I guess location does have an influence.
  4. First thing that comes to.mind when you say text books...is man you're an old school
  5. Jesus 20 an hour in 94? I make 15 now and thought I was doing alright for a 25 year old. Should've went to school In 94 I was 3. Yall have been fishing as long as I've been alive...haha
  6. Zoom speed craw and I LOVE those zoom chunks...don't know if they're new or just new to me but try them out! Lol...when people say the use pork rinds as trailers...do they mean the chicharonnes snack chip?
  7. @Nick Jonesy Maybe he just swiped at it...maybe you hit a twig...hell maybe it was a crappie and didn't get the whole thing in it's mouth. Just keep fishing bro, when I lose a fish that's the most exciting part to me...you don't know what it was...how big it was (or little), and that's the enjoyment of it all. Welcome to the sport and the forums!!!
  8. Well, have court on wednesday...hopefully it goes well...wish me luck guys
  9. Maybe I did have enough.light and too much miller lite!!
  10. Btw...I'd give any man a million dollars of I he could break a .012 grade 133 steel wire strand with his hands...very stout...very tough...and that's why I have invested in 60$ wirecutters
  11. Bro I would be happy if I could catch something else other than a bass or sunfish...if you have pike you must have muskie and maaaaybe sturgeon if you're in a big lake....I'd give the world to have more than one game fish to seek after...I'm in South texas...it's all LMB down here... I work for a wire rope company and the wire strands/leaders people are speaking on can hold 1000 to 5000 newtons. I can send you a size .014 grade 133 eipps wire for a price? If you want a .012 7x7 strand though it might cost ya! 7x7s, 19x6, 26x6, 31x6, or 31x6 you might as well catch sharks or whales....make some leaders with strong eipps leaders
  12. Realize this......the 3$ glasses...are made.in the same factory asssssssssss....you got it right! The 200 dollar glasses...polarized is polarized...put a pair of dollar store glasses on and tell me how many fish you see!!!! You don't pay for the lens...frame...sizing...etc. you're paying for the brand, logo and hype. Get off the gas chico!!
  13. The bass are saying "Long time, no see!" Go and hook'em!!!
  14. Just saw a huge 10lb drum swimming in less than a foot of water....bass busting everywhere...but I under estimated the difficulties of fishing in the dark and cant hack it
  15. The simple fact is...none of us have fished your waters before....only you can determine what will get the bite and that's going to be by trial and error....after many attempts you'll build an arsenal that the bass can't refuse, but their moods change season to season....nobody ever knows...that's the fun part...when you've put hours into fishing a spot and you land a dinky bass...it doesn't matter that it's small...it's that you put hours into it and tricked the fish into biting something fake on your own presentation...just got out and fish...have a good time doing it is the most important part And the people that say oh this bait straight out catches fish in a pond...well how do they know ow...they might be in a different water temp, different weather patterns at a certain time and even a different moon pattern....or haven't fished a pond in months but stayed that a certain bait just flat out catches fish....nobody knows....that's why the sport is so big...and not to be mean...but if they knew all about it...wouldn't they be pro already? Just observe the forage, make a play off of that, and keep plugging away...you'll get one eventually if they're there
  16. Enough talking, wasting time, time to get it
  17. @Avery I thought I was the only one who read bass fishing during class...haha
  18. Today's my birthday, I asked off a couple weeks ago but my boss told me no, I'm the only one who can lock the building up at night. Oh well gotta deal with it....I really would love a top water bite but I only have an all black buzzbait with clacker with me...definitely not the right lure for the waters and conditions for today but it would definitely make my day. 2 hours until I have to click in, let's land one. If it doesn't work now, maybe when I get off at 11 pm this all black buzzbait would work. So I might try then as well if it doesn't happen here. Man I'm excited. Does the anticipation get to yall too?
  19. My favorite shoes for fishing are Sperry Top Sliders...all leather...comfortable...and can get wet without smelling moldy the day after...yall should try them out
  20. There are schools of (pearl/purple/blue/yellow striped depends on how the sun hits em lol) shad..I see bass in the distance busting on them all the time but I'm limited to bank fishing so all I get to do is SEE them busting the surface. Have yet to lure them in from the deep from the bank. But if all of this food is here next to a dock and marina....then there has to be bass. It's always heavily pressured in this lake from bank fishers...I just don't know what presentation will hook me up with one. So after a week of no bass I said to hell with it..I'll at least have fun with panfish
  21. Second that But it only takes one lure to catch a bass. The plastic worm.
  22. The real question of the matter is, If this dock is swarming with these...shouldn't it be swarming with bass too?
  23. Yall are right, in order, longear, bluegill, and a hybrid...that's nuts
  24. The one with the blue all over is a longear? I thought the color would make it a bluegill
