The ones at linton all have boat ramps as far as I know, you can also check out chinook fwa, there's 5 or 6 pits that are all accessible from the road.

If your up for a drive check out the strip pits in linton. They are all electric motor only so you won't have to worry about the pleasure boaters.

I was doing some weed fishing with a worm yesterday, I noticed a lot of bass under the floating vegetation, staying in the shade, and attacking anything that passed by, and if I didn't get a bite I'd slowly drag the worm over the top of the weeds and usually have one blow up on it when it got near a hole.

Have there been any confirmed cases of lead poisoning in loons? Seems kinda far fetched to me?

I tore them up with red shad laminate today, but some days color is less important than others. Try to have a variety on hand so if you don't get bites you can try different colors to see if it's the color or fish.

X3 on the sencos ill add add this to bite detection, and it might not be applicable to flowing water, but keep an eye on your line for an unusual bump or for it to start swimming away on its own.

I would think in a tournament situation I'd want as consistent of a bite as I can get. id rather catch average size fish all day than catch one big bass.

Man they went through a whole package of sencos today! I didn't weigh them, but most seemed to be in the 2-3# range, and aggressive as can be! First time using plastic worms, even caught a big catfish on the senco. Caught a 4 lb'er on the Ned rig! Heck of a great day!

Took the family fishing. We decided to hike about a mile to a small pond. That was canceled just as we arrived at the pond due to a club out of Indy doing a youth outing. We decided it would be best to leave. As much as I hate to say it that really frustrated me, I guess I just wasn't planning on sharing the pond with about 20 other people after a long hike. The joys of public waters. We went to a public park with a couple ponds, didn't get skunked but it was a really slow bite, probably due to not getting started until after 10.

What's your definition of "cheap"?

i like to be ready to fish as the sun comes up, only for the top water bite and to get the lake to myself for awhile.

I will agree the stuff is very strong. I was going to pick up some 12# for my spinning reel, but after comparing the diameter to mono I downgraded to 8#.

After fishing a pressured lake, a pond like that is to easy, it almost doesn't feel like fishing, you'd almost feel guilty because it's so easy!

The fish have never seen a lure and they will bite anything in any color... no matter how bad you screw up the technique!

Cheap but effective relief is a tennis elbow band that you put around your upper forearm. After a lot of pounding nails I get the occasional flair up, and the band will relieve it enough to get through the day.
