Swimjig
3/8 for one with a paddletail and 1/4 if using a small grub. Paddletailed baits are bulkier and produce more lift. Allen

BPS sells a crimp on sinker for this. Allen

What is your favorite and or most succesful Lure?
Have you found a RC 1.5 color that doesn't work? That is my favorite crank and Copper Perch has caught me fish everywhere. Allen

What is your favorite and or most succesful Lure?
Whatever is working best but that varies during the time of year and season to season. This year has been blackish jugs and creature baits for me. Allen

Jig & Craw Trailer - Which side is up?
In nature all prey is darker on its back than belly which is what I use for color selection. Allen

Looking to start pouring some jigs.
You need to tell us what you fish most in order to recommend what molds. What I use or others use most will be different than your fishing style. For me the 2 most cost effective molds are the shakey head and Eakins style molds. I have saved $100's of dollars using these but it fits my style of fishing. Allen

Worm Fishing
While I generally use creature baits over worms in the summer they are hard to beat. Jigs work freat and while they are one of my confidence baits nothing beats a worm in summertime grass regularly. They do not bury in grass like a jig nor get the appendage hang up like a worm. For the Upper Potamac tournaments if in doubt throw a black 4" power worm on a 1/8oz head. Allen

Anyone use Hyamass Spring Pin Twistlock as a replaxement for Owner CPS Centering Pin Spring Twistlock?
I poured some tonight in 1/16oz on the 2/0 and 3/0 hooks and will post a picture sometime tomorrow. The 1/0 and 4/0 do not fit well in the mold soI had incomplete pours. I will tell you that these hooks run at least one size larger than most. Let me find my Owners and I will post a side by side comparison for reference. Allen

Is molding jig heads at home worth it?
Depends on what you want to make? If you only use say arky jigheads and buy only that mold with a melter you are fine. What ends up happening is you buy a $40 mold to pour 1oz football jigs because you lost 3 last year. Now you could have just bought a dozen unpainted heads from someone is for $6 but you got the mold to "save money". I got rid of my drop shot molds for this very reason. For $0.03 more I can just buy them from someone else and I lose maybe 20 a year. Allen

Why isn’t the Cinnamon Brown colored Senko more popular?
Thanks for posting this link. I have been looking for black swamp crawlers for a long time. Allen

Why isn’t the Cinnamon Brown colored Senko more popular?
I use that color a lot in the Upper Potomac when the water is clear. Same with Zoom's scuppernong color as they don't see it very often. Allen

what unpopular lure do you use?
I have these just because Jimmy Houston use to wreck fish on his show using them when I was young. Now they work great but for walleye not bass. Allen

Few question on carving wooden lures, materials need etc.
I make eye screws in a similar way. First find a nail that has the diametet of what you are looking size wise for a eyelet. Next I bend some wirein a U shape around the nail. Place the two tag ends in a drill and slowly spin in the untighten mode until it makes an eyehook. Now take one of those bait screws that is slightly smaller and make a pilot hole. Cut the eyehook you made even and coat it with Devcon 2 ton epoxy. Screw in the eyehook now as the threads will match and you will be fine. Allen

Mail Ordering Spinnerbait Blades
I forget which one it is but one of the places cadman mentioned has a chart. Find out which site and just print it out to compare. From what I remember the screaming eagle had 3.5 and 4 blades. Regular 1/2oz bait had either 3.5/4.5 or 4/4.5. Allen

What surprise catches have you got with the ned rig?
Caught a nice one of those on a deep diving crankbait in the Potomac river. Allen

How to match the hatch on yellow perch
You sure that is a Balsa bait? It looks like a early 70's floating Smithwick Rogue. Does it have ROGUE in block letters on the belly by the front hook? Allen If you plan on ordering a lot of them just order directly from Jim at Cast Industries as they make them for LurePartsOnline. Allen

what unpopular lure do you use?
For the Upper Potomac, Susquehanna, and Juniata this is probably the most popular lure used. Allen
