That head just works so now I need to find someplace that has a good price on 1000 Gamakatsu 4/0 594 hooks. Allen
  2. That is what I thought based on the barb and collar. I have the flat-eye one myself and it is great. Allen
  3. Is it a Do-It mold or a CNC works custom? Allen
  4. They are called Silver Buddies. Allen
  5. If you have a boat you can fish both Big Slackwater and Four Locks as they are deep sections of the river. Allen
  6. When it gets closer contact me and I will let you know about the different places. I have fished this section of the Potomac for like 35 years. Definitely bring some flukes, a white buzzbait, and some GP tubes or creature baits. Don't be surprised if you hook into a 20lb Tiger Muskie as they are all over the river. Allen
  7. What mold is that? Allen
  8. Owner twist lock are made in different sizes. Besides those most weighted hooks come with thick hooks. Allen

The black or sunfish one? Allen
  10. I use the same reasoning but for some reason copper perch works in any water clarity. Allen

Glad to see they are already working. I have the exact 2 jigs I sent tied on for a tournament tomorrow. Allen

You need to post it into the tackle making forum since I can't figure out how to. Allen

Is Sunday still the deadline? Allen
  14. I feel the same way! On really clear lakes around here I like the compact size of tungsten which I think helps. The cost doesn't bother me as for the situations I use it in I only lose about 5 sinkers a year which doesn't amount to much in the overall cost of bass fishing. Allen

The Rogue has been around for awhile and they work well. KVD won the 2005 BassMaster Classic using one BTW. Allen

Those black jigs are a lot smaller in person than my pics show. Allen
  17. If you only have to modify for the hook thickness behind the collar it's easy. Just takteone of the hooks and fold some high number grit in have around it. Lightly sand each half until it fits. Allen
  18. We have a saying around here that any color buzzbait works as long as it's white. Allen
  19. Two years ago speared a wave which scared the crap out of me. Nothing like not being able to see your TM because it is hidden in a muddy wave. Allen
  20. Even with braid I highly doubt you can bend out most of these hooks unless Tarpon fishing. Allen
  21. Not sure what kind of jig you are looking for but if a 28-30 degree hook mold is what you want look at the Do-It grass jig mold. Allen
  22. I don't have any of those hooks laying around. Hook thickness does matter but the VMC and Gamakatsu hooks are both heavy hooks. If you want to make sure that hook fits you can call Barlow's Tackle and they will check for you. Maybe Cadman or Smalljaw67 will see this and be able to answer. Allen
  23. I just checked and the 4/0 Gamakatsu hook fits perfectly in the 3/8 and 1/2oz cavities. Additionally the VMC 7216 in 5/0 fits these same cavities as well. While I am a fan of Mustad hooks the Gamakatsu ones I posted about are so much sharper than the 32886 Mustad ones. Generally Do-It molds will accept a lot of hooks and sizes not listed on the mold as they are cast. Now a CNC machined mold is less forgiving. Allen
  24. http://www.lurepartsonline.com/Online-Store/Gamakatsu-Jig-Hooks_2/Gamakatsu-345-Swim-Jig-Hook.html Lure Parts Online sells a heavy 30 degree Gamakatsu hook in 5/0. Allen
  25. TOW= Time on water is invaluable. Allen
