Junk lead is a pain to deal with unless you know what you are getting into. To start order some clean lead from rotometals like suggested to keep the headaches down. I use a lot of lead that was given to me which is why I deal with the problems.

Never considered buying any after looking at them in the package.

Look into the Jackall RS series of baits if you are a JDM lure aficionado. Allen

Rotometals is where you can get some but I assume you want a small quantity to try first. Not sure where you can get pure Tin but solder is easily available and close to the weight. Densities in grams per cubic centimeter: Lead = 11.34 Tin = 7.29 Solder = 8.4 Allen

Where are you fishing? For jigs I recommend a 5/16 or 3/8oz green pumkin overall. Allen

They look more like they are intended to catch fishermen than fish. Some of them may work like the frog but I haven't given them a thorough test. Allen
