Allen
  16. Busy with family life so I don't have as much time as I use to. I suggest buying a lure retriever as I have only lost 5 baits in the past 7 or 8 years since getting one. It looks like a knock off to me since Bandit never made that pattern that I am aware of but it looks identical to the baits that were sold by Barlows, Janns, etc. Allen
  17. Looks like a Bandit knockoff that the luremaking sites sell to me. That or one of the cheap baits that Wal-Mart sells? Allen
  18. Twelve to fifteen feet Is about the deepest I can catch them on a crankbait.
  19. Original RC 1.5 LC in Copper Perch is the number one producing crankbait I own. I have these in just about every color including one I had custom painted in gizzard shad that needs repainted.
  20. Strike King S11 glasses are great for the money. Allen
  21. That is it! Only came in two sizes 6/20 and like 14/30 rated like braid today. Allen
  22. I remember using some oval shaped mono but cannot remember the name? That and the 6' Zebco Rhino Rod that was "indestructible from tip to butt" Broke 4 in one summer. Allen
  23. Worms for grass and creature baits for wood has been my experience. That and they seem to prefer the creature. bait better spring /fall and worms in the summer. Allen
  24. I have not made any swim baits out of resin but I have made crankbaits. Alumilite resin is what I use which is very strong and picks up every detail from the mold. Alumilite is not very buoyant itself so to make it float you have to add microballons with it. I will have to find the mold and baits I made to post a pic. Allen
  25. I was wondering what everyone's preference was for swim jigs. What is the weight size used most often and do you prefer a regular or thick hook? Mine vary in weight from 1/8 to 1/2oz but 3/8 is what I use most often because of the buoyancy of the paddle tail trailers. As for hooks the Mustad 32724 5/0 is what has worked the best. This setup works great for my MH 12lb Floro rod outfit that I use. Allen
