  1. Here is a head I made recently. Allen
  2. Try using a punch to open up the eye of the jighead. This is what I do and it works on the Gamakatsu hooks I use as well as the Mustad 32886 which is what should be in that head. Allen
  3. This is just overflow from my basement as there was no more room down there and I let someone borrow my heater. As you can clearly see I won my battle with OCD but I still know where everything is on the bench. Allen
  4. To cold in the basement so I set up a temporary area in the front room that keeps expanding. Allen
  5. Look into LurePartsOnline Style B Weedless Jig made by Cast Industries as it is the closest I can find. The other option is to make a copy of the Bitsy jig out of high temp silicone. Allen
  6. This is the Upper Potomac panic rig for the summer. If you can't catch fish on this using a black power worm like the one above then take up golf. Allen Depends on the jighead and what type of fishing you do. Jobee has different size and thickness of hooks they use for this head. I use the 2/0 hook ones all the time with creature baits on 10-20lb floro with no problems. Allen
  7. Jobee jighead is what I think you are looking for. Allen
  8. One of my top 10 jerkbaits in my collection period.
  9. Overall Green Pumkin for any conditions. I have to ask a question of the group though, have you ever found a color that didn't work? Allen
  10. Here is the two piece mold I made out of Bondo resin that turned out better than I expected for a first try. Allen
  11. Like others have said making just a few you will not save much money. The positive point is you can make whatever you want and the basic skirt tool that I use is $5. Honestly this is the cheapest and easiest way to get into making custom baits. Allen
  12. Try cutting a small vent into the bottom and hold the mold at an angle when pouring. Look at how the aluminum ones are vented and copy it for starters. Allen
  13. If these are working for you then I say stick with them. I make most of my own lead heads but I use these as well. Look into the Jobee jigheads if you are looking for an alternative with a bullet weight head. Allen
  14. That is the same thing I plan on doing once I get some free time. Allen
  15. You need to modify it to make a decent trailer keeper as that is the problem with that mold. Allen
  16. Hair jig means different things to different people? In my area we use 1/8 to 1/4oz jigs with light wire hooks for bass when the water temp is sub 40 degrees. Personally I like a 1/0 or 2/0 60 degree hook on a football head with a 1/16" weedguard and bear hair. Allen
  17. More than you with your car shows! At least my boat not running right is a reason where are all the pics of the fish you have been catching this year? Allen

I think there is a clause that you can make whatever you want for personal use? Allen
  19. Where are all the pickerral and walleye? That is what I seem to catch at Deep Creek. Allen
  20. Best lures for me are: Shakey head, fluke, paddle tailed fluke, t-rigged worm or creature bait. That place is feast or famine as far as bass fishing! Pre-fishing I will wreck them but tournament day I think they all swim out to sea or something? Allen
  21. Fish the Upper Potomac for SM in general which can be waded at most spots. In case you didn't know the MD State record SM came from Liberty. Allen
  22. This was the best place I fished all last year and the biggest I weighed was 5-10. Hit is about a month ago and no grass with nothing but dinks. Allen
  23. This is the one thing about fishing that I cannot teach? I taught myself how to use one about 30 years ago now it is just like breathing. Allen
  24. I use to bank fish a lot and have several different bags. The problem is you keep buying bigger bags to carry more stuff to the point the bag is too heavy to carry. In my basement is a Cabelas bag that holds like 15 3700 Plano boxes that when filled would require a cart to move. Allen
  25. I use the rod lockers on my 18' boat as it can hold a lot of baits. Allen
