  1. This is what I would recommend to start. I pour outside in a garage and have a $15 toaster oven I bought at Ollies just for powder paint. Allen
  2. My record is 27 jigs lost in a single day which almost made a dent in what I carry. Allen
  3. http://www.*.com/Pradco-Bill-Dance-Lure-Retriever-p/bill-dance-lure-retriever.htm This is the one I use and have lost maybe 3 hardbaits in 5 years? I throw LC and Megabass baits into brush piles so this thing paid for itself day one. Allen
  4. Suspending jerkbait if the water is clear and a swim jig are my two recommendations. Allen
  5. Bill Dance lure retriever works well at getting baits back. Allen
  6. I find that when the grass starts to die they will move out to the next available cover. Allen
  7. Was looking on Google maps for something else and found 2 lakes in MD that I have never heard of, Lake Needwood and Lake Bernard Frank. Anyone fish these that could post some info? Allen

  9. Looks just like the Matzuo hook? http://www.captainhookswarehouse.com/index.cfm?page=detail&hookid=639&view=1 Allen
  10. Bill Dance lure retriever would have saved it! I have only lost two cranks in like 5 years thanks to Bill. One of the baits wouldn't tune right so I didn't even bother trying to get it back. BTW; If you are missing a DT Rapala from Blairs Valley I have it. Allen
  11. There way a quote from Rick Clunn "catching fish is easy but finding them is hard" and it has helped me. Additional things that I have found helpful: Time on water Casting accuracy Soft landings of lures Limiting color selection Allen
  12. The one that is working that day. Allen

Hair jig in sub 38 degree water than no, all other times yes. Allen
  14. Do you even fish anymore? I think Nate is the only one still fishing this year. Yesterday I took my daughter to Blairs Valley and she caught 2 rainbow trout and a bunch of sunfish. I tried both a bluegill and whiteish colored swim jigs which caught nothing. Allen
  15. My old boss once told me that a college degree just shows that you can complete a long term project. With that said I do a lot of job interviews and to make it through HR they want to see a degree. As for fishing contact the fishing coach at the schools that interest you. Remember a school is a business that sells a service so they will help you with any problems. Allen
  16. http://omegacustomtackle.com/store/index.php?route=product/product&path=61&product_id=77 Here is the jighead http://www.jannsnetcraft.com/silicone-skirts/360731.aspx# Here is the skirt (478 Blue Glimmer) We can make as many as you want but I know that one was special. Allen
  17. I am surprised a 99 boat costs $20k? They just sold a 2000 19 or 20' Ranger with a 175 EFI at the local marine dealer that was in great shape for $9500. Allen
  18. With those interest rates I would try a loan shark. Allen

You need special shampoo and that little comb for......... Awe crab lures? well nevermind then. Allen
  20. The amount of fish I catch on the two sizes is about the same but the bigger fish come on the 4" bait. Allen
  21. Mine as well and I have caught fish on it from March to November. Allen

  23. Brothers of the Maryland's Who's who! thread I am asking for a fishing moment of silence for NastyNate. Nate recently lost his favorite swim jig that I gave him in June. This jig survived a lot of hangings in trees, laydowns, etc. in at least 3 different bodies of water. Sadly its luck ran out last weekend and he will now have to spend 30 seconds building a replacement. Allen
  24. http://www.nakedbaitco.com/skirtexp.html This will work. Allen
  25. Oatmeal works best for carp around here as I use to fish for them. Take some regular oatmeal and mix a little sugar/koolaid/vanilla in. Get a handfull of oatmeal, put your hand in the water then just squeeze and release water until it gets hard. Make a little ball out of the hardened oatmeal and you are set. Treble hooks in size 6 with no weight is what I normally use. The oatmeal ball will weigh enough that you can cast it without any additional weight. My record carp is 32lbs and on average most of them are 12-20lbs around here. Allen
