First Crankbait Prototype
At home I have a link saved where you could buy a tungsten powder/epoxy kit? It may be something worth looking into? I was going to try it in a spinnerbait mold but was sidetracked by other projects. Allen

Your favorite SMALL Jig&Pig combo?
That's a VERY nice looking jig. Love the fox fur in there. I tie my own too. I would like to have some done with bear hair. In my tests it works the best for really cold water. Allen

Winter tactics
Some of you guys need to come do some real winter bass fishing with me. I am talking about avoiding ice floating downriver, 35 degree water temps, swishing the rod in the water because I eyelets froze shut. Produces the biggest SM of the year though? Allen

Maryland's Who's who!
You can run for quite a ways as the water is deep. The furthest point I usually go is right past the Potomac Fish and Game Club. It is on the MD side and has its own dock and on the opposite side (WVA) there will be a big pumping station. Once you reach that point the water starts to get about 3' so you can run it just be careful. As far as lures I would bring small tubes, finesse worms and especially hair jigs. Allen

Your favorite SMALL Jig&Pig combo?
http://cgi.ebay.com/6-Custom-Spider-Jigs-1-8-oz-Bass-Green-Smoke_W0QQitemZ380176669639QQcmdZViewItemQQptZLH_DefaultDomain_0?hash=item58844b9bc7 For really cold water these are what I use. I am not affiliated with him as I am just a customer but these work. I suggest ordering whatever your most productive color and pairing it up with a Zoom tiny chunk or Uncle Josh pork 101. He has made custom colors for me in the past and I can say these worked in 36 degree water for SM here in Maryland. Allen

best plastics for dropshotting?
Any soft plastic will work but I like 3-4.5" no salt baits because they float. The 2 main baits I use are a 3" Berkley DS worm (discontinued) in smoke or a 3" DS minnow that I hand pour myself similar to the Hawg Shad. I use to use the Hawg Shads and still have some but they are expensive so I make my own. Allen

To Refinish or Not to Refinish used modern lures???
I would say that unless the worn off finish is causing problems like the lure taking on water to leave them alone. Yes those nice new custom finishes look good but like Raul was saying my best baits are trashed. Without telling me I can look into any tacklebox and tell what you best baits are? They are going to be the ones missing eyes, paint, faded but have new hooks. I have 2 plastics baits that for some reason out perform identical baits? One is a Mann's baby 1- and the other is a RC 1.5 that I would not sell for $100 each. The Mann's bait hunts and will outfish the other 12 I carry combined. The RC I have no idea why it works better all I know is that it does? Allen

Maryland's Who's who!
I have the same deal with a boat, I inherited it when my grandfather past away. The DNR of MD has it registered last to him so all I needed was a note from the executor of his estate. Allen

Maryland's Who's who!
The best place to take kids fishing is at the C&O canal at Williamsport. There are a lot of sunfish to catch and little to get hung in or on. Get some nightcrawlers at Wolf's and some bobbers and you are set. I would not take that small boat and electric motor out on the river? Cunnigham Falls, Greenbrier and Big Pool are all great places to fish with a electric only boat. It is cooling down so there will be less people swimming to deal with. Allen

Molding foam baits?
Husky or Travis would be some names to check for? I have been pouring a RC 1.5 copy out of Alumilite resin. Allen

Anyone else LOVE Berkley baits?
Zoom has been my favorite for years but man do those chigger craws work as a jig trailer! My #1 drop shot bait is a 3" power bait drop shot worm and if anyone has any they want to get rid of I am always looking for more. Allen
