  1. I don't know about worst but I am mad at Sebile magic swimmers right now. These things should catch fish but don't for me. They were my #1 draft pick lure too for this year. Allen
  2. Pictures work so much better than what I typed. Allen
  3. I fish during the week usually on Wednesday evenings and one day every weekend. Besides the tournaments it is hard to find someone that wants to go out. I know just about all the areas around here and what fish are where. The muskie are always in the same places as are the bass most of the time. The evening topwater bite can be great on the river but the size of LM I catch from a local lake keeps me off it a lot. Allen
  4. I know that Blairs Valley had small fingerling Muskies a few years ago. These were only 8-12" long and I caught them on senkos. The last one I caught there was 2008 or 09 and it went 35 1/2". It was caught in March on a LC pointer fishing for bass. Allen
  5. Big Slackwater or maybe Four Locks (AKA the Dead Sea) if I fish the river. Usually I leave the river to all the dummy jet skiers from June to September. Allen
  6. I have an open tournament there Saturday starting at 4:30 or 5:30pm? The tournament is open to anyone who wants to fish $40 per tournament, per team. I can invite you fishing anytime there is not a tournament but I finally found a reliable partner. Allen
  7. Fish that section where you mentioned about the tournaments. Both the little creek and the big creek mouths hold them. Allen
  8. If you suck at tieing like me just use heat shrink tubing to hold the feathers on. Allen

  10. quote] Starflash is readily available. Starflash is a lot stiffer than Hydrosilk. They really don't compare. The Hydrosilk makes the jig flow and move unbelievable in the water.
  11. Find a nail the size of eyelet you want and place it in a vise point up. Next get some wire 24guage (I will have to check when I get home?) bend it in a "U" shape. Clamp the ends to a set of aircraft wire pliers or in the end of a drill. Slip the U part over the nail and tighten the wire. The spinning of the pliers or the drill will wrap the wire creating a eyescrew. Allen
  12. Green pumkin, watermelon, solid black are what I use 90% of the time. Flukes I use a smokish color or pearl white. Allen
  13. I fish it all the time including the open tournaments they have there. It is very deep, usually clear, lots of weeds but has some nice fish in it. Depending on the area you catch both SM and LM. Allen
  14. Just start fishing for bass on the Upper Potomac and you will eventually catch one. They will hit everything but like jerkbaits the best. Allen
  15. I am not sure about my schedule but, the college course I wanted to take filled up before I registered so I will have more free time this summer. Right now the Upper Potomac river fishing is terrible! Combine that with all the pleasure craft and I do not even want to fish it until September. Now there are some great TM only lakes that are withing a reasonable drive. Allen
  16. I am a diehard jig fisherman but I find in the summer creature baits work better than jigs. Spring and fall the jigs flat out catch fish but besides high muddy water I do not have a lot of luck. The other thing to consider is the fish are not close to shore where you can catch them? Allen
  17. I let the conditions decide which I will be using and my favorite bait is the one working that day. Allen
  18. 3" Berkley chigger craw Zoom super chunk jr. Zoom creepy crawler Allen
  19. Bring some Junebug colored worms, dark colored creature baits, buzzbait and a double colorado spinnerbait. Fish the riprap and the point across from the riprap with the wooden pole sticking up. Allen Hi Allen. Thanks for the info. Probably try again to get there soon. We don't have any buzzbaits and I'm guessing Yum Crawbugs might be creature baits. Thanks again. Blairs Valley water is muddy all the time which makes it predictable to me. Dark colored baits like black and junebug work the best. Since the water is warm use baits that have a lot of appendages or movement. Allen
  20. You need to check out Trapp Pond in DE if you can. The biggest 5 bass limit I have ever caught was there fishing from the bank. Fished a Zoom horny toad at dusk and had somewhere around 25lbs for the five biggest fish. Didn't weigh them but I caught 9 that were between 20-23" in like two hours not counting those dink 18" bass Allen
  21. About a 12lb carp or a 20lb snapping turtle both caught on a baby brush hog. Allen
  22. They turn into a black goo anytime I try to melt them down. Not the handpours but the injected powerbaits. Allen

  24. Were gorillas riding in the back seat that much of a problem? ;D Allen
  25. I am trying to think how this would work? The main problem I can see is the hook point and line tie would be to close to work. Let me look at some lipless baits and see if it is possible. Allen Maybe instead of an EWG it could be a weighted Kahle hook or weighted octopus/circle hook. I see what you are saying with the line tie. It needs to be on the top, not the front. Thats why I'm thinking Kahle or Circle type hook. http://www.***.com/Blade-Runner_Swim_Bait_Insert_Weighted_Hook/descpage-BRHSBI.html I was thinking maybe these could be modified in some way? http://www.***.com/Jackall_Mask_Vib_70/descpage-JV.html#pImage This is king of what you are looking for but with the hook coming out the back. Allen
