Spro McStick any good
So I am the only one here who thinks the McStick is a MB Vision knockoff? And the SPRO Dawg is not a copy of the Sammy? Like I said I applaud them for the little john as it is an original design. Allen

Besides the Little John SPRO is knocking off every bait imagineable that works so NO I will not try a bait from a company who has such unethical business practices. Allen

What's the best fluke style bait?
Salt or other additives is what makes the bait heavier not the plastic. I have tried pouring Flukes out of super soft plastic and they do not work as well. Zoom are too stiff and do not sink enough for me so I was using some handpours but the guy quit making them. Allen

Football Jig Molds w/ Recessed Line Tie??
http://www.bassresource.com/bass_fishing_forums/YaBB.pl?num=1283309155 Already working on this one, hopefully I can find time to work on it today. As for the recessed line tie football jigs they are most likely spincast. Allen

Old baits from the 80s and 90s
The Sluggo was the lure back in the early 90's! It counted for at least 60% of my bass. Actually the biggest SM I can remember catching was on a 4.5" sluggo. RC 1 and 3 man I bought so many after Clunn won the classic using them. Never really caught much and I kept breaking the bills by slapping the baits to get grass off. The soft plastic I would love to get some more of is the kangaroo grub. It had a thin tail and a stubby end but really worked for me. The french fry I still use regularly, in fact my partner was using one when we won an open tournament in June. Allen

Football Jig Molds w/ Recessed Line Tie??
I don't think they make one yet? The only recessed jighead mold Do-It has is called a brush jig. http://www.do-itmolds.com/prodmolds.aspx?c=333 Allen

Swim Jigs- Tail up or Tail Down
If you are fishing it where the bait will contact grass or brush tail up. All other times tail down seems to have a better swimming action especially on the fall. Allen

Did you ever buy a lure/lures that just didn't catch anything???
Sebile magic swimmer and it isn't for a lack of trying. It is funny to me how some are mentioning jigs? I never go fishing without them because when fishing is tough they still produce. Allen

Any of you tackle makers make something like this?
http://www.johnnyspond.com/bagley-belly-button-minnow-head-jigs.html Something like this is what I was thinking with the wire option? The problem I see so far is so much of the lead is forward of the hook eye for the Ultra minnow. Allen

Any of you tackle makers make something like this?
Bringing this back up because I will have some free time soon and plan on going forward with the project. Since a machinest friend is currently laid off and offered to help it shouldn't be hard to modify the mold. Now for the questions= What weight and hook size does eveyone like? The 3/8oz lists 3/0 but most Do-It molds will take 1 size larger hooks. The swimming hornet uses a crane swivel molded into the head but I was thinking of trying a looped wire end? I guess I will wait and see what Don says as I have the horsehead mold swivel cavity as a reference. Overall the most expensive component of this bait is the ball bearing swivel but these things can only cost about $1.25 to make. Allen
