  1. The RC 1.5 is my #1 crankbait overall for at least the past 10 years but for some reason the BDS series never really worked for me overall? The exception to that is the Marty Stone BDS 1.2 in Ghost Minnow which is my favorite finesse crankbait for clear water. Wish they would have made a deeper diving version of that bait. Allen
  2. That Megabass bait is made that way for a reason. To me it looks like a bait made for clear and or pressured waters. If you change the blades it will work but why not leave it alone? Buy some heads and make baits how you want them. Allen
  3. Going to look into this one. Most of the other baits I have or have tried. Allen
  4. After reading some of the posts and the fact it is 12 degrees here figured I can start some winter discussions. So, what are the lures that work for you that most have never heard of? Mine are all JDM but others may have something domestic that others may want to look into? My list: Imakatsu Riprizer Jerkbait Jackal DD Squirrel Team Daiwa Popper Evergreen Wild Hunch crankbait Jackal Bonnie 95 walking topwater Evergreen M1 Inspire minnow jerkbait Team Daiwa Vibration lipless These are the ones that I can think of off the top of my head? There are more that I use but I have heard them mentioned by others on this site. Allen
  5. Watched a video once on how to shave the lips just never tried it. The JDM poppers are already made this way so I don't mess with them. 'Picked up some Don Iovino Splash its to try this year after seeing the paint wore off a couple from a buddies Potomac trip. Allen
  6. While I have some of most of the Victory hooks to try the only ones I can give an opinion on are the Ned hooks. The ones I have used work well but I cannot say I have done an assessment against another hook? Allen
  7. Caught a few fish on these as well. Allen
  8. LC Pointer 78sp and DD are the best SM jerkbaits I have ever used. This is based on having fished them for 18 years. Others I would recommend: LC Slender pointer 97mr Rapala Husky Jerk 10 Team Daiwa 1091 Allen
  9. Make sure to provide the cage code as well. Allen
  10. After reading all these replies I would like to plead the 5th on this one. Like 2 or 3 years ago I gave away 13 rods to the local Jr Bassmasters that I was not using. As for rods in tackle I noticed that I was bringing more stuff in my Bass Tracker which was a problem. Solved the problem by buying a bigger boat. Allen
  11. Carolina rigged buzzbait is the secret! Allen
  12. Your fishing spot is on fire! Allen
  13. Thanks, those little finesse jigs have saved the day several times. Allen
  14. 3/16 finesse vs 3/8 regular flipping jig. Allen
  15. My daughter found this the last time we went Creek fishing. Allen
  16. Thought you only used Oldham jigs? Allen
  17. Garage is where I hide to make lures. Allen
  18. Those will work! Allen
  19. Abducted by aliens I think? Allen
  20. Sanding this one down to 1/4oz and switching to a 30 degree hook. Making masters is not my favorite thing to do. Allen
  21. What ever happened to Redline Robert? Allen
  22. Bought some last year to try out for winter fishing. Haven't used them since they were on the back of a beetle spin. Allen
  23. Berkeley Maxscent hasn't lived up to the hype for me. Allen
  24. Just did a Google search and this came up. I need to find a rod to replace one that broke and had no idea how they measured handles. Allen
  25. I no longer give out info on spots because like others I have been burned. Had a guy on another forum saying about how he couldn't catch any decent fish on the Upper Potomac. Desided to take him out with a promise not to tell everyone. Well he did a YouTube video on the spot showing everything I taught him. The next time I tried fishing there it looked like the D-Day invasion with the number of boats. Put him on blast and was suspended from the site for months. Allen
