  1. I have some 1/8oz guppy heads I am looking to get rid of. Let me get you some pictures tomorrow. Allen
  2. This is how most lead baits are designed. Weight listed is just the lead everything else adds to the weight of the bait. Allen
  3. I can't get to the places where the bigger fish are. Allen
  4. They need to move all they can to the Upper Potomac. Allen
  5. I use to watch it all the time when I was a kid on TNN outdoors. The Bassmasters, Jimmy Houston, and The Fishin Hole with Jerry, Allen
  6. Tactical Bassin and Glen's video's are the only ones I watch. Now I do watch some of the luremaking videos on YouTube. I have been speaking with smalljaw67 and have decided I need to start making my own. Allen
  7. I think about bass fishing several hours a day. Either I am fishing, thinking about fishing, making lures, etc. Allen
  8. Seriously the last time I watched the Classic cliff Pace one? When everyone talks about the MLF and other tournaments I have no idea nor do I care. I doubt I can name 3 pros that have started in the past 10 years? Only one I know is the guy named after VW stereos that is always whining about something that comes through my Facebook feed. Allen
  9. Forget her name at the moment but the office manager knows a lot of the colors by memory. Heard they finally received stock that has been on backorder. Allen
  10. When I saw that new Berkley bait I was like crap. I have been trying to get a bait like that made for 2 years. Allen
  11. 100mm which is close to 4" as for the joints I ask the mold maker what are my options? Colors I will make myself initially but I am going to have someone better at making plastics pour them for me. What you see is a first draft not a final product? I will refine it over the next year based on feedback. Allen
  12. This is my initial modification and will make changes based on performance. So all the diehard chatterbait guys on here once I get the mold I will send out prototypes to get feedback. Allen
  13. Call St Croix, more that likely they will send you a new tip. I have had this happen with both a St Croix and GLoomis rod where the tip was crushed by someone stepping on it. GLoomis rep wasn't sure of the tip size so they sent me 6 different ones. Allen
  14. Just experimenting? Balsa= Hobby Lobby Cedar or PVC trim board= Lowes Allen
  15. Personally I like full cork rear grips on casting rods because I cast with two hands. Spinning it does not matter because I only use one hand, Allen
  16. Basically a Keitech fat impact with the paddle tail removed. Somewhere around here I have some of the original Keitech baits that Hog Farmer copied. Allen
  17. Just saw it on Facebook. Allen
  18. So are we going to do a Black Hills GTG next year? Figured we can start planning it now so everyone can make plans. Allen
  19. Anyone have any Zoom tiny chunks that can take some measurements for me? When I look online I get 3 different sizes and my local tackle places do not have any in stock to buy? Length, width, and depth is what I am looking for. Allen
  20. Functionality is definitely more important than appearance. That said the design work for the gills, scales, etc is already done so I am going to use it. As for other trailers mentioned I design things based on my experience. So a 5" trailer on a chatterbait is a little big for most of my fishing conditions. Now the Lower Potomac has hugh shad but closer to home there are no 6" Gizzard shad for bass to feed on. Allen
  21. Going to incorporate the features I like from other baits. The Zako is too fat and Yamamoto plastics are too soft for this application. Blade minnow is too long and skinny IMO so I am coming up with something I feel will work better. I will send you some of the prototypes to try out once I get the initial bait done. Allen
  22. So some dummy threw snakeheads in Black Hills? Well that is great. Allen
  23. So the fins would be removed from this bait and cutouts would be made like the SK blade minnow or Zako. What I want is a trailer that follows the blade. Paddle tails have their own action and swim at a frequency much slower than the blade. This bait I want to follow behind the blade and swim in a natural following motion. I think it will make more sense once I get the prototype made and everyone can see it. Allen
  24. So while I am not the chatterbait expert I am not a fan of the available trailers for a on the market. Therefore for the same reason I got into baitmaking I am going to make my own. Looking to turn the bait in the picture below into a chatterbait trailer. What does everyone think of my proposal? Bait will be 4" and will meet my requirements on what I think is best. Allen
