  1. My issue with the whopper plopper is the tiniest piece of grass stops it from spinning. Heddon torpedo I can be dragging a whole oak tree on the rear hook and the prop still spins. Allen
  2. What was your casualty? Allen
  3. My favorite rod a Kistler California Series Senko rod that I bought in like 2005 had an accident. Rod was a 6-10 but I rolled down the rear window in my Tahoe and before realizing some of my rod tips were against the glass I rolled it up. Broke about an inch off the rod which I know can be fixed but it will never be the same again. This rod has caught 5 of my biggest 10 bass and while not the most sensitive it has been the best creature bait rod ever. I will have it repaired as I owe it that much, but I guess it is time to replace it with something better. Allen
  4. Don't mess with him! The brotherhood of tackle hoarders is strong and will find you. Allen
  5. Agreed, why would you go fishing with just one lure? My luck I would break it off on the first cast. Allen
  6. Always like it when you post your collection of baits. It makes me feel better about all the stuff I have. Allen
  7. From what I understand Ed Chambers would sit down every year and just make what he wanted. Baits and colors were whatever he felt like making. Allen
  8. A lot better than my first one for sure. Two suggestions; move the skirt further up on the head, and turn the swivel around. Moving the skirt up is just an aesthetic thing. Swivel will spin easier if turned around the other way. Allen
  9. Seibert can make those jigs . Allen
  10. Bigger baits catch bigger fish! Additionally, by the fall the baitfish are bigger so you can get away with bigger jerkbaits. Allen
  11. They are definitely hard to find sometimes. We have a lot of diverse places to fish. The best state I have ever been for bass fishing was Missouri. I swear every house or trailer had a 2 acre pond in the back yard. Even caught a couple meanmouth bass. Allen
  12. Not sure what is funnier? Thor's hammer Mjolnir or the fillet of fish. Allen

  14. After I caught this fish the bait didn't run correctly. Guess I need to learn how to tune it chatterbait.? Plan on making some this week that more closely resemble the juvenile bluegill I keep seeing in the lake. Allen
  15. Jackal flick shake is the best bait I know of for fishing places like that. Allen
  16. Only caught one in the hour I had to fish but it was a good one. Allen

Usually they get thrown aside in the boat and get melted down into other baits later. Allen
  18. I need to learn how to make these! I have been making baits off and on since 1987 but never made any inline spinners. This year I spent a lot of time fishing from the bank due to my boat being in the shop since June. Hope to make some for fishing the creek that is full of different fish. Allen
  19. Same lake about 2 weeks ago I caught 17 on a spinnerbait. These a just fishing from the shore 2 hour evening trips. Allen
  20. Not my best work but very funny. Allen
  21. Sounds like a good situation for a Silver Buddy. Allen
  22. Post some pictures of them. Allen
  23. I am using a medium with 8lb mono and down have that problem. Biggest fish I have caught is a 18" SM. Allen The baitfish silver one has caught more fish than any other jerkbait I have ever used. I have two of these baits that look like someone took a belt sander to. Allen
  24. Finally caught a fish on a chatterbait! Only about a lb but it took me over 10 years to catch one. Massive wind so I decided to try a protected area that has a lot of juvenile bluegill. Caught this monster on a bluegill pattern bait I don't remember making. Allen
