  1. Those look like GREAT rods for the money. I however like a faster action for topwater lures.
  2. What you just explained is the issues I have always had with Shimano. At one point ALL my reels were Shimano, now ALL I use is Daiwa, except for a 50 MG that I love.
  3. As Ari would say, "Let's hug it out". ;D
  4. Yes, those boats look like they will last forever.
  5. Congrats on the boat and good luck in your fishing carreer.
  6. I've heard nothing but good things. I need to pick one up.
  7. None work. what was it?
  8. How cool is that. Congratulations man!
  9. Nice fish. Lightninrod, your avatar is ;D
  10. 40 degrees? No thanks.
  11. Now THAT is a fish. Congratulations!
  12. Welcome from an "ex" shimano guy.
  13. HArd to say. I'd switch it up regularly based on the cover you are fishing and see what works. Good luck!

    Good to see you here.
  15. Muddy and Avid, Your comments were right on. I buy Steez rods and reels because I appreciate the technology behind them. Can a rod or reel that costs half as much accomplish the same? Absolutely. Can a Honda Accord get you from point A to B just like a Lamborghini? Yes. The difference in my opinion, lies with one simple word. Preferance. Dodgeguy, You are entitled to your opinion. But your comment that someone is "stupid" for buying a $500 reel was probably not thought out very well....
  16. Wow. I looked at that picture and immediately thought, "stripers". I would use a medium heavy 7 ft rod that can handle up to a 1 oz lure. Use a good quality baitcast reel and spool it with 30 or 50 lb Sufix braid, tie on a 1 oz white hair raiser with a white tail and heave it parallel to the spill way. If you dont get hit on the initial drop you will get hit on the retrieve.
  17. I was sharing this with Russ today, Here is my family ; mom, dad, and my two older sisters. Let's see yours guys!
  18. Unreal.
  19. Yikes! You almost owed me a new laptop Muddy that thing almost broke my screen! ;D
  20. That I would like to give to a fellow member. I never used it, although it is a little banged up from the boat sliding on and off of it. If you would like to have it for your boat, just let me know. It's pretty much first come first served. I'll pay for shipping as well guys. I figure some one on this board can actually put it to use. Here is what I am talking about for those that don't know the product: http://www.kodiaktrailer.com/content/view/14/31/
