How does everyone find out about the limited release of colors? I seem to miss these and then end up paying a premium on an auction site for these.

I had a Daiwa SV103XS cerakoted white with black accents. Most gun shops can do reels. I picked a place that was cheap but local. It was their first reel. Be very specific about what should and should not be painted. Look around though. Some people that do reels specifically charge a lot for it. I mean more than what the reel is worth.

I am a Shimano guy mostly but I always recommend the Daiwa Tatula SV TW to beginners.

Be careful. ? I sold a Dobyns to a co-worker and now he has gone off the deep end in what he buys. He now has Loomis, St. Croix and Kistler rods. It becomes a sickness really. You think the bait monkey is bad, wait until the bait gorilla is on your shoulder. Hard to ignore the weight of the gorilla on your shoulder.

I in fact look at my most recent set up and think do I really need that? It is a Megabass Addermine and a Shimano Exsence. Don’t get me wrong the thing is wicked but.......again it does not help me catch anymore fish than a much cheaper set up. Elitist or not good enough who cares. If I ran into the issue the original poster did it would be difficult not to make a comment in some sort of fashion. Do the fish know what I am using or even care?

I personally have high end gear. Most set ups are pushing or even past the $800 mark. I am fully aware it does not help me catch more fish than a sub $100 set up. I buy them because I like it. No other reason. I am not a snob to whatever any person uses. Does not matter what you use. In fact most people hack on me for how much I spend.

Michigan . I have been sponging info from this site for well over a year without joining. Decided to join because, why not. Fished a lot during my youth. Lost touch with it while concentrating on family, life, career and etc. Came back to it over the last few years but this spring, fishing is what I do virtually every weekend. Yes I am usually still to busy during the week to get out but I get out when I can. Living in south Michigan we do not get the monsters that you true southerners have but I still love me some bass fishing. Thanks for all the helpful info thus far.
