Just came across this thread while searching for info on the 7’2ML Expride spinning. Is anyone actually throwing a weightless Senko on this rod? Enough power to drive a 4/0 hook home? I have numerous other rods I could throw senkos on, just want to try something different and this rod has always intrigued me for some reason. I always see everyone saying it’s a little stiffer than its rating.

Ebay is great for fishing gear/lures, etc. If I'd have had the cash I'd have picked up a few brand new Stradic FK 2500's that a store was selling for $105. As stated, check ratings and how many previous sales. That's usually a good indicator of who you're dealing with.

Just wanted to say thanks to Bassresource and the members for just being here. Going through a lot with the man that introduced me to fishing, my dad. He's fighting a losing battle with lung cancer and it consumes me emotionally at times, especially having to take care of him lately. Even if it's just a few times a day that I have a chance to check in and see what's going on around here, it's still a getaway from what's going on in "real life". I usually don't vent about personal issues with anyone at all but you guys have been helping me through this tough time without even knowing it. Use some toothpaste to shine them back up.

Maybe try taking the spool off the reel, spray The drag stack down with some ardent reel kleen and let it soak a little. Could possibly be some old grease making it a little harder to get out. I'd replace whatever drag washers are in there now with some carbontex washers when you do get it out.

@bigfruits Not missing the point at all, it was a joke. I'm all for buying quality gear. I have a few older Stradic Ci4's and 2 newer ones.. Can't say enough good things about them.

I carry these in my book bag. not the lightest but I've never had a problem cutting through any hooks.

Initial thought is the larger "weave" of the carbontex washer goes on the very bottom facing down. Is this correct?

Can someone explain to me why one of the carbontex drag washers that I just purchased is different from the other two? The one side is smooth like the others but the other side seems to have a lot thicker "weave" to it. Also seems to be a bit thicker. Does it matter where this one goes? Thanks in advance. edit: this is for a stradic ci4+ spinning reel.

I have one on a shimano stradic ci4+ right now that I payed like $7 for. Fits perfect.

I've found something very similar on eBay and other sites for about 1/4 of the price.

Few weeks ago seemed like the Kastking perigee 2 rods were starting to pop up for sale quite a few places. Just checked again and they are gone from everywhere. Just seems weird.

Sounds like it may have been a defect in manufacturing, it happens. Like stated above, contact them and let them sort it out for you. Good luck on getting it taken care of.

But when you got it, you wonder how in the heck you ever lived without it? Could be anything pertaining to fishing. Only parameters is that at one time you never thought you would need it/them, but when you finally decided to take the plunge and purchase said item.. You wondered how you ever lived without it. Mine would have to be a good pair of split ring pliers.
