  1. I went fishing in some bypass canals for the first time here in Tampa. It had lots of cover but the water had a dark brown tint. It was about 5 pm. I used shallow divers, deep divers, and top water. I used bright colors, light colors and dark colors. fished for 2 hours and not one bit, nibble or anything. Are there any fish in these bypass canals?
  2. I been catching them on custom painted square bills and minnow cranks.
  3. Thank you Jeff, Darren, whitwolf.
  4. Thank you Bluebasser86 and jbw252,
  5. The trick I use is I put alligator clips over the eyelets, put on the epoxy then take off the clips before i put it on the rotisserie.

I use Devcon 2 ton epoxy.Great shine an crystal clear.
  7. I use a Iwata HP-CS airbrush. You rely need a duel action air brush not single action. If you use Createx paints you either need to thin it for it to go through a 3 mm needle or you need to get a 5 mm air brush. Wicked paints are thinner but, cost more. You can also get illustrator colors, they are thinner for 3 mm air brushes. My Iwata HP-cs has a 5 mm needle so I can spray Createx right out of the bottle. If I need reducer to thin the paint I use 4012 reducer. I get my paints @ TCP Global. For epoxy I use Devcon 2 ton epoxy. A good starter air brush is the Neo airbrush, it is duel action and it's about $50. Good luck painting and have fun.
  8. Aluminum duct tape @ home depot, It sticks to your lure body. Then just add clear coat.
  9. I use a 2.5 square bill light color, stop and go. At dawn.
  10. Thank you A-J.
  11. How many of you guys custom paint crankbaits? Do you think custom cranks catch more fish?
  12. That looks awesome.
  13. Hello, I am new to this site, first timer. Need to find my way around. I came straight to tackle making because I paint crankbaits. I do it for fun so they are all one of a kind. If I turned it into a business and had to remember color combinations for each lure it wouldn't be fun anymore. I do sell some lures I make to keep this hobby going but most of them I fish with. can't wait to get to know you guys.
